There’s a big difference between being busy and being productive. If you’re going to put in some work between now and the end of the year, don’t confuse motion and progress. A rocking horse keeps moving but never makes any forward progress. In other words…
Here is a hypnotherapy script to help you start being a little more productive than you are busy:
Induction
Take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, allow your body to relax, letting go of any tension or stress. Imagine yourself sinking deeper into relaxation with each breath.
Imagine yourself standing at the top of a staircase, with each step leading you deeper into relaxation. With each breath, take a step down, feeling your body becoming heavier, sleepier, and more relaxed.
As you reach the bottom of the staircase, imagine yourself in a peaceful, calm place, surrounded by warmth and comfort. This is your safe space, where you can start being a little more productive than you are busy.
Deepening
Allow yourself to settle even deeper into relaxation, feeling your body becoming heavier, your mind quieter, and your spirit more open.
Imagine a warm, soothing light filling your entire body, dissolving any remaining tension or stress. As this light circulates through your body, it awakens your sense of purpose and productivity.
Being Productive
Now, bring to mind a task or activity that you know you need to tackle. It could be a project at work, a personal goal, or a simple task that’s been lingering.
As you hold this task in your mind, imagine a small, delicate clock in front of you. This clock represents your focus and concentration.
Take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, imagine gently setting the clock to a specific amount of time you will dedicate to this task. See yourself committing to this focused work session, with motivation and determination.
Repeat the following affirmation to yourself, allowing the words to sink deeply into your subconscious mind:
“I am a little more productive than I am busy. I make the most of my time, and get things done.”
Visualization
Imagine yourself working on the task, focusing solely on it, and making progress with each passing minute. See yourself taking breaks, but only after completing a specific task or milestone.
As you visualize yourself being productive, feel a sense of accomplishment growing within you. Know that you are achieving your goals, and making the most of your time.
Reframing
Now, imagine reframing your thoughts about productivity and busyness. Instead of feeling overwhelmed by your tasks, see them as opportunities to make progress and achieve your goals.
Repeat the following affirmation to yourself, allowing the words to become a part of your inner dialogue:
“I prioritize my tasks, and make the most of my time. I am a little more productive than I am busy.”
Closing
Take a moment to integrate the insights and feelings from this journey. Know that you have the power to be a little more productive than you are busy.
As you slowly open your eyes, remember to carry this sense of focus and determination with you, and to return to it whenever you need to tackle a task or project.
Repeat the following affirmation to yourself, as you go about your day:
“I am a little more productive than I am busy. I make the most of my time, and get things done.”
Remember to use this script in a relaxing and comfortable environment, and to suit the individual’s needs and preferences.
