Here is a sample hypnotherapy script to help remove driving with fear:

*Induction*

“Welcome to this hypnotherapy session, where you’ll discover a sense of calm and confidence behind the wheel. Take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, feel any tension or stress leaving your body. Allow yourself to relax, feeling heavier with each breath, sinking deeper into relaxation.

Imagine yourself in a peaceful, safe space, where you feel completely at ease. It could be a beach, a forest, or a quiet room in your home. Take a moment to visualize this space, and allow yourself to feel completely relaxed and calm.

*Deepening*

“Now, I’d like you to imagine a warm, soothing light beginning to fill your body, starting at the crown of your head and flowing down to your toes. As this light travels through your body, it relaxes each muscle, calms each nerve, and quietens each thought.

With each breath, allow yourself to let go of any remaining tension or anxiety, feeling more relaxed and calm with each exhalation. You are safe, and you are in control.

*Regression*

“Now, I’d like you to imagine yourself in a situation where you would typically feel anxious or fearful while driving. It could be merging onto a busy highway, driving in heavy traffic, driving on a mountain pass or navigating through a busy city. Allow yourself to fully immerse in this scenario, and notice how your body reacts. Notice any physical sensations, emotions, or thoughts that arise.

*Reframe*

“As you’re in this scenario, I want you to repeat the following phrases to yourself:

* ‘I am safe and in control.’
* ‘I trust myself to make good decisions.’
* ‘I am confident in my ability to navigate this situation.’

As you repeat these phrases, allow the words to sink deep into your subconscious mind, replacing any negative self-talk or fearful thoughts.

*Counterconditioning*

“Now, I’d like you to imagine yourself handling this driving scenario with ease and confidence. You’re calm, focused, and in control. You’re able to navigate through the situation with ease, feeling a sense of pride and accomplishment.

As you imagine this, allow yourself to feel a sense of empowerment and confidence. You are capable of handling any driving situation that comes your way.

*Future Pacing*
