Practice Deep Self-forgiveness with Hypnotherapy

Imagine a bright light expanding, filling all areas of your body and mind where you may be holding onto guilt, shame, or regret.

Here is a sample hypnotherapy script to help clients practice deep self-forgiveness:

Induction

“Welcome to this hypnotherapy session, where you’ll have the opportunity to tap into the profound power of self-forgiveness. Take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, allow any tension or anxiety to release from your body. Feel yourself becoming more relaxed, more calm, and more centered with each breath.

Imagine yourself standing in a peaceful, serene environment, surrounded by vibrant flowers, soothing music, and warm, comforting light. Allow yourself to settle into this tranquil space, letting go of any thoughts, worries, or concerns.

Take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, repeat the phrase: ‘I am safe, I am relaxed, and I am worthy of forgiveness.’ Allow these words to resonate deep within your heart, and feel the warmth of self-forgiveness spreading throughout your body.”

Deepening

“Allow yourself to settle deeper into this relaxed state, like sinking into a warm, comforting bath. Feel your body becoming heavier, more relaxed, and more peaceful with each breath.

Imagine a gentle, soothing breeze caressing your skin, whispering words of forgiveness, compassion, and understanding. As you inhale, imagine this breeze filling your lungs with calm, peaceful energy. As you exhale, imagine any remaining tension or stress releasing from your body.

You’re now in a deep state of relaxation, where your subconscious mind is open to positive suggestions and guidance. Allow yourself to let go of any self-criticism, self-doubt, or negative self-talk, and instead, focus on practicing deep self-forgiveness and compassion.”

Self-Forgiveness

“Bring to mind a situation or memory where you feel guilty, ashamed, or regretful. Imagine yourself in that situation, but this time, observe it from a detached perspective. See yourself as a whole, deserving of love, kindness, and compassion.

Repeat after me: ‘I forgive myself for [insert situation or memory]. I am human, I made a mistake, and I did the best I could with the resources I had at the time.’ Allow these words to sink deep into your subconscious mind, and feel the weight of guilt and shame lifting from your shoulders.

Imagine a warm, comforting light filling your heart, radiating outward, and enveloping your entire body. This light represents self-forgiveness, compassion, and understanding.

As you breathe in, imagine this light expanding, filling any areas of your body where you may be holding onto guilt, shame, or regret. As you exhale, imagine any remaining negativity releasing, like autumn leaves falling from a tree.

Repeat after me: ‘I am worthy of forgiveness, I am worthy of love, and I am worthy of compassion.’ Allow these words to become your inner mantra, guiding you towards deeper self-forgiveness and self-compassion.”

Reinforcement and Anchoring

“Take a moment to reflect on how you feel right now. Notice the sense of calm, the feeling of peacefulness, and the warmth of self-forgiveness.

As you continue to breathe deeply, anchor this feeling of self-forgiveness. Imagine a small, golden anchor in your heart, reminding you that you are worthy of forgiveness, love, and compassion.

Whenever you need to access this feeling of self-forgiveness, simply take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, repeat the phrase: ‘I forgive myself, I am worthy of love, and I am worthy of compassion.’ Feel this anchor strengthening, and know that you can return to this state of peace and self-forgiveness whenever you need it.”

Closing

“Take one final, deep breath in, and as you exhale, slowly open your eyes. Notice how you feel, notice the subtle shift in your energy, and notice the sense of self-forgiveness that now resides within you.

Remember, you are worthy of forgiveness, love, and compassion. You are deserving of peace, happiness, and inner tranquility.

Take one final, deep breath in, and as you exhale, know that you are free to live your life with confidence, with self-forgiveness, and with the knowledge that you are worthy of love, kindness, and compassion, always.”
