2. “Can you close your eyes and take a deep breath in with me?”
Induction
1. “Imagine you’re in a happy place, like a beach or a park. See yourself playing and having fun with your loved one.”
2. “Notice how you’re feeling in this happy place. Are you feeling happy, calm, and safe?”
3. “As you breathe in, imagine fresh air filling your body. As you breathe out, imagine any worries or scary thoughts leaving your body.”
Deepening
1. “Now, imagine you’re walking on a path with your loved one. You’re feeling safe and supported.”
2. “Notice the sights and sounds around you. See the trees, hear the birds singing, and feel the sun on your skin.”
3. “As you walk, imagine any tension or stress leaving your body.”
Trauma Resolution
1. “Now, I want you to imagine that you’re in a safe space, surrounded by people who love and care for you.”
2. “Imagine that the loss of your loved one is like a cloud in the sky. It can move away, and the sun can shine through.”
3. “As you breathe in, imagine that you’re filling yourself with kind, loving thoughts. You’re worthy of love, care, and attention.”
