Here’s a sample hypnotherapy script for healing fear of loss and abandonment:

Induction

(Soft, calming music plays in the background)

“Welcome to this hypnotherapy session, where you’ll have the opportunity to let go of your fears and worries. Find a comfortable position, either sitting or lying down, and take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth. Feel the air fill your lungs, and then release it slowly.

Imagine yourself standing at the top of a staircase, with each step leading you deeper into relaxation. As you begin to descend, feel your body becoming heavier, your muscles releasing any tension. With each step, allow yourself to let go of any thoughts or worries, simply focusing on the sensation of your feet touching each step.

As you reach the bottom of the staircase, imagine a warm, comforting light surrounding you. This light represents safety, security, and tranquility. Allow it to envelop you, filling any spaces where fear or anxiety may reside.”

Deepening

“Now, take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, repeat the phrase ‘I am safe’ to yourself. Feel the truth of these words, knowing that you are in control and capable of handling whatever challenges come your way.

Imagine yourself in a peaceful, serene environment – a beach, a forest, or a mountain meadow. Take in the sights, sounds, and sensations of this place. Notice the feeling of the air on your skin, the sounds of nature, and the sensation of your feet connecting with the ground.

As you breathe in, imagine fresh, calming energy entering your body. As you breathe out, imagine any fears, worries, or doubts leaving your body. Repeat this process several times, allowing yourself to settle deeper into relaxation.”

Exploring the Fear

“Now, bring to mind the fear of loss and abandonment that has been holding you back. Imagine this fear as a shape, a color, or a sensation in your body. Notice where it resides, and how it makes you feel.

As you focus on this fear, ask yourself: ‘What is the worst that could happen if I were to lose someone or something I care about?’ Allow yourself to fully imagine this scenario, and notice how your body responds.

Now, imagine yourself in this scenario, but this time, see yourself handling it with confidence, resilience, and strength. Visualize yourself taking care of yourself, seeking support from loved ones, and finding ways to cope with the challenges.

As you imagine yourself in this empowered state, repeat the phrase ‘I am capable of handling whatever comes my way’ to yourself. Feel the truth of these words, knowing that you are strong and resilient.”

Reframing and Release

“Now, imagine a warm, comforting light beginning to fill the space where the fear of loss and abandonment resided. As this light grows, it starts to dissolve the fear, replacing it with a sense of calm and confidence.

Repeat the phrase ‘I release all fear of loss and abandonment’ to yourself, feeling the weight of this fear lifting from your shoulders. Imagine any emotional burdens or weights being lifted, allowing you to feel lighter, freer.

As you continue to breathe deeply, imagine yourself surrounded by a sense of safety and security. Know that you are deserving of love, care, and connection, and that you are capable of creating healthy, fulfilling relationships.

Repeat the phrase ‘I am worthy of love and connection’ to yourself, feeling the truth of these words resonating deep within your heart.”

Integration and Awakening

“Take a few moments to notice how you’re feeling now. Notice any shifts in your body, your emotions, or your thoughts. Allow yourself to integrate these changes, knowing that they will stay with you long after this session is over.

When you’re ready, slowly begin to bring your attention back to the present moment. Take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, imagine yourself returning to your everyday awareness, feeling more calm, confident, and empowered.

Remember, the sense of safety and security you’ve experienced during this session is always available to you. Whenever you need to connect with it, simply take a deep breath, and repeat the phrase ‘I am safe’ to yourself.”

Awakening

(Soft, calming music continues to play)

“Take your time, and when you’re ready, slowly open your eyes. Notice how you’re feeling, and take a deep breath in, feeling refreshed, renewed, and more confident. Remember, the hypnotherapy process is a journey, and it’s okay to take things one step at a time. Be patient, kind, and compassionate with yourself as you continue to work through your fears and challenges.”
