Hypnotherapy Script: Finding Peace When You Feel Scared About What Might Happen
Induction – Creating Safety Now
Take a slow, gentle breath in…
and release it softly.
Again… breathing in safety…
breathing out fear.
Allow your eyes to close now,
or soften your gaze.
Notice the space around you…
the surface supporting your body…
the simple fact that right now, in this moment,
you are safe enough to rest.
Nothing is happening to you right now.
Deepening – Settling Into the Present
As your body begins to relax,
your nervous system starts to settle.
The future does not need to be solved in this moment.
I will count slowly from 10 down to 1,
and with each number,
you feel more grounded and calm.
10… settling
9… softening
8… slowing
7… relaxing
6… letting go
5… halfway now
4… calmer
3… steady
2… present
1… deeply relaxed
You are now resting in the present moment.
Core Work – Meeting the Fear with Compassion
Notice the feeling of fear…
not as an enemy…
but as a signal.
Fear has been trying to protect you.
You don’t need to push it away.
Imagine gently turning toward the fear…
with curiosity and kindness.
You may silently say:
“I see you.”
“I am listening.”
As fear feels seen,
its intensity begins to soften.
Separating Fear from Reality
Now notice how fear speaks in possibilities…
not certainties.
“What if…?”
“What might happen…?”
And you gently remind yourself:
Right now…
nothing is happening.
Imagine placing the future into the distance…
allowing it to stay there.
Bring your attention back to your breath…
your body…
this moment.
Silently repeat:
“I am safe right now.”
Feel how grounding that truth is.
Releasing the Need to Predict
You begin to realize something important:
Trying to predict the future
has never brought peace.
Peace comes from presence…
from trust…
from meeting each moment as it arrives.
Imagine setting down the heavy burden of what-ifs.
You may affirm:
“I release the need to know what will happen.”
“I trust myself to respond when the time comes.”
Feel the relief as you let that weight go.
Integration – Anchoring Inner Safety
Now imagine a warm, steady light forming in your chest.
This light represents safety and inner strength.
With each breath,
it grows stronger…
more stable.
You realize…
you have faced uncertainty before…
and you are still here.
This inner strength remains with you.
Emergence – Returning Calm and Reassured
In a moment,
you will return to full awareness…
bringing with you a sense of calm, courage, and steadiness.
