Here is a sample hypnotherapy script to help release triggers attached to trauma:

*Induction*

(Soothing music starts playing. Speak in a calm, gentle voice.)

“Welcome to this safe and peaceful space. Allow yourself to settle in, feeling the weight of your body supported by the chair or floor beneath you. Take a deep breath in, feeling the calmness fill your lungs, and exhale slowly, releasing any tension or stress.

Imagine a warm, soothing light beginning to fill the space around you, gentle and comforting. As this light grows, it starts to seep into your body, filling any areas that may be feeling tense or tight.

Allow your eyes to grow heavy, feeling the relaxation spread through your eyelids, and then slowly, gently, allow them to close. Take another deep breath in, feeling the calmness deepen, and exhale slowly, releasing any remaining tension.

*Deepening*

“Now, imagine yourself standing at the top of a gentle staircase, with each step leading you deeper into relaxation. As you begin to descend, feel your body becoming heavier, more relaxed, with each step.

Notice the sensation of your feet touching each step, feeling the weight and stability of your body. Allow yourself to release any thoughts or worries, simply focusing on the sensation of each step.

As you reach the bottom of the staircase, imagine yourself in a safe, peaceful place. This could be a beach, a forest, or a cozy room – wherever feels most comforting to you.

*Trauma Release*

“Now, imagine that you are surrounded by a soft, white light. This light represents safety, comfort, and protection. As you breathe in, imagine this light filling your body, filling any areas that may be holding onto trauma or stress.

As you exhale, imagine any pain, fear, or anxiety leaving your body, carried away by the light. Allow yourself to release any emotional burdens, feeling the weight of these emotions lifting from your shoulders.

Imagine that you are holding a small box in front of you. This box represents the trigger that you’d like to release. As you hold the box, notice any emotions or sensations that arise.

Now, imagine that you are able to open the box, and as you do, any emotions, thoughts, or sensations that were inside begin to emerge. Allow yourself to observe these emotions without judgment, simply noticing them as they arise.

As you watch, imagine that these emotions begin to take shape, forming into a cloud or a mist. As this cloud or mist emerges, imagine that it begins to dissipate, carried away by the soft, white light.

*Releasing the Trigger*

“Now, imagine that you are able to release this trigger, letting go of any attachment or emotional charge. As you do, feel a sense of freedom, a sense of release, as if a weight has been lifted from your shoulders.

Repeat the following phrase to yourself, allowing the words to sink deeply into your mind: ‘I release this trigger, and all associated emotions, knowing that I am safe and protected.’

As you say these words, imagine that the soft, white light grows brighter, filling any remaining areas of tension or stress. Feel the calmness and peace spreading through your body, filling you with a sense of comfort and security.

*Integration and Empowerment*

“Now, imagine that you are able to integrate this newfound sense of freedom and release into your daily life. See yourself moving forward, feeling more confident, more empowered, and more at peace.

Remember that you are capable of handling any challenges that may arise, knowing that you have the tools and resources to support yourself.

Repeat the following phrase to yourself, allowing the words to sink deeply into your mind: ‘I am strong, I am capable, and I am worthy of love and respect.’

As you say these words, feel a sense of empowerment and confidence growing within you. Know that you are deserving of peace, love, and happiness, and that you have the power to create the life you desire.

*Awakening*

“Take a deep breath in, feeling the calmness and peace that fills your body. As you exhale, slowly begin to bring your attention back to the present moment.

Notice the sensation of your body, feeling the weight and stability of your seat on the chair or floor. Take another deep breath in, feeling the freshness and clarity of the air, and exhale slowly, feeling refreshed and renewed.

When you are ready, you can slowly open your eyes, feeling more calm, more centered, and more at peace. Remember that you can return to this safe and peaceful space whenever you need to, knowing that you have the tools and resources to support yourself on your journey towards healing and empowerment.”
