“Allow your eyelids to grow heavy, feeling them becoming heavier and heavier with each passing moment. Your eyes are closing, and as they do, you feel yourself sinking deeper into relaxation, deeper into the present moment.

“Imagine a warm, comforting energy spreading throughout your body, starting at the crown of your head and flowing down to your toes. As this energy moves through you, it dissolves any remaining tension, any remaining doubts, and any remaining fears.

“You are now in a state of deep relaxation, open to the gentle guidance of your subconscious mind. Allow yourself to let go, to release, and to surrender to the present moment.”

Suggestions:

“As you continue to breathe deeply, imagine a bright, loving light filling your heart. This light represents the love that you have to give, the love that you share with others, and the love that you have for yourself.

“Now, imagine this loving light expanding, growing stronger and brighter with each passing moment. As it does, it fills you with a sense of confidence, a sense of trust, and a sense of self-worth.

“You are a trustworthy, loving being. Your love is pure, kind, and genuine. You show up for others with empathy, compassion, and understanding. You are a safe haven, a beacon of hope, and a source of comfort.

“As you share your love with others, they feel seen, heard, and understood. They feel valued, respected, and cherished. They know that they can trust you, that they can rely on you, and that they can count on you to be there for them.

“Your love is a gift, a treasure to be shared with the world. You are proud to give it, to show it, and to share it with others. You are a trustworthy, loving being, and you know that your love can be trusted.”

Visualization:

“Imagine yourself in a situation where you are sharing your love with someone else. It could be a romantic partner, a friend, a family member, or anyone else who is important to you.

“See yourself being open, honest, and vulnerable with this person. See yourself listening to them, understanding them, and empathizing with them. See yourself being patient, kind, and compassionate.

“Now, imagine this person looking into your eyes, and seeing the love that you have to offer. See them feeling safe, feeling seen, and feeling heard. See them trusting you, relying on you, and counting on you.

“Feel the warmth, the comfort, and the connection that flows between you. Feel the love that you share, the bond that you form, and the trust that you build.

“You are a trustworthy, loving being, and you know that your love can be trusted.”

Counting Up and Awakening:

Trust in yourself with Sports Hypnotherapy

Trust in yourself, trust in your abilities, and trust that you’ll make the right decisions. Repeat after me: ‘I trust myself completely.’ ‘I believe in myself.’ ‘I’m capable of achieving my goals.’

Here is a script for a sports hypnotherapy session focused on building trust in oneself:

Induction

“Take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, allow your body to relax and let go of any tension. Imagine yourself standing on a peaceful beach at sunset, feeling the warm sand beneath your feet and the gentle ocean breeze on your skin. With each wave that crashes, feel your worries and doubts washing away, leaving you calm, focused, and centered. Take another deep breath in, and as you exhale, allow yourself to let go of any self-doubt, and fully trust in your abilities.”

Deepening

“Imagine yourself walking along the beach, feeling the sand shifting beneath your feet. With each step, feel yourself becoming more grounded, more confident, and more trusting of yourself. As you breathe in, imagine fresh energy and self-trust entering your body, and as you exhale, imagine any doubts or fears leaving your body. You are now in a state of deep relaxation, where your mind is open to positive suggestions and your body is ready to perform at its best, trusting in yourself every step of the way.”

Affirmations

“Repeat after me: ‘I trust myself completely.’ ‘I believe in my abilities.’ ‘I know I’ve prepared well.’ ‘I’m capable of overcoming any obstacle.’ ‘I trust my instincts and make decisions with confidence.'”

Visualization

“Imagine yourself in your sport, performing at your best. Visualize yourself making split-second decisions with confidence, trusting your training and preparation. See yourself executing skills with precision and accuracy, knowing that you’ve got this. Imagine the feeling of trust and confidence that comes with knowing you’ve done everything you can to prepare. See yourself celebrating your successes, no matter how small they may seem, and know that you’re capable of achieving even more.”

Reframing

“Now, I want you to imagine a situation where you may have doubted yourself in the past. Maybe it was a game, a competition, or a challenging situation. Imagine yourself in that situation again, but this time, see yourself responding with confidence and trust in yourself. See yourself making the right decisions, taking control, and coming out on top. Feel the sense of pride and accomplishment that comes with trusting yourself and your abilities.”

Anchoring

“Now, imagine a trigger, something that will remind you of this feeling of trust and confidence. It could be a phrase, a gesture, or a sensation in your body. Whenever you use this trigger, you will instantly tap into this state of self-trust and confidence, and you will perform at your best. Practice your trigger now, and feel the trust and confidence surge through your body.”

Reinforcement

“Remember, you are capable of achieving great things. You’ve worked hard to get where you are, and you have the skills and knowledge to succeed. Trust in yourself, trust in your abilities, and trust that you’ll make the right decisions. Repeat after me: ‘I trust myself completely.’ ‘I believe in myself.’ ‘I’m capable of achieving my goals.'”

Counting

“Now, I’ll count from 5 to 1, and when I reach 1, you will slowly open your eyes, feeling refreshed, renewed, and ready to perform at your best, trusting in yourself every step of the way. 5… 4… 3… 2… 1. Open your eyes, and take a deep breath in, feeling the confidence and trust in yourself surge through your body.”
