Here is a sample hypnotherapy script on being very selective of what you watch and what you listen to:

*Induction*

“Welcome to this hypnotherapy session. Take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, allow yourself to relax. Feel the weight of your body sinking into the chair, your muscles releasing all tension. Imagine yourself in a peaceful, calm environment where you feel completely safe and relaxed.

“With each breath, allow yourself to let go of any thoughts, worries, or concerns. You are here to take control of the influences in your life and cultivate a more mindful approach to what you watch and listen to. Allow yourself to trust in the power of your subconscious mind and the guidance of my words.”

*Deepening*

“Imagine yourself standing in a serene, peaceful space, surrounded by calming colors and soothing sounds. With each breath, feel your body relaxing further, letting go of any tension or stress.

“Notice the sensation of your feet connecting with the ground, feeling stable and grounded. As you exhale, imagine any worries or concerns leaving your body, making space for clarity and focus.

“Take a moment to visualize yourself as a wise and discerning being, capable of making conscious choices about what you allow into your life. Allow yourself to feel this sense of empowerment growing with each breath.”

*Script*

“Now, I want you to imagine that you have a filter in your mind, a filter that screens every image, every sound, and every message that comes into your life. This filter is called ‘The Guardian of Your Mind.’

“Imagine The Guardian as a strong, wise, and compassionate guide, who carefully examines every input before allowing it to enter your mind. The Guardian is committed to protecting your well-being, your self-esteem, and your overall mental health.

“Take a moment to visualize The Guardian at work, screening out negative influences, critical voices, and harmful messages. See how this feels, how empowering and liberating it is to have control over what you allow into your life.

“Now, imagine yourself in a situation where you’re about to watch a movie, TV show, or browse social media. See The Guardian step in, examining the content before allowing it to enter your mind. Ask yourself, ‘Is this aligning with my values and goals? Is this nourishing my mind and soul?’

“Imagine yourself making conscious choices, selecting only the content that uplifts, inspires, and empowers you. Feel the sense of confidence and self-assurance that comes with knowing you’re in control of what you watch and listen to.

“Remember, The Guardian is always with you, guiding and protecting you from the influences that don’t serve you. With each breath, repeat the phrase ‘I am selective, I am discerning, I am in control.'”

*Counting Up and Awakening*

“Now, as we come to the end of this hypnotherapy session, take a moment to notice how you feel. Notice the sense of empowerment, the sense of control, and the sense of clarity that comes with being selective of what you watch and listen to.

“As you slowly begin to count up from one to five, allow yourself to return to a state of full awareness, feeling refreshed, renewed, and ready to take on the day with confidence and positivity.

“One… feeling more awake and alert.
Two… noticing my surroundings and feeling more present.
Three… taking a deep breath and feeling more energized.
Four… stretching my body and feeling more empowered.
Five… fully awake, fully aware, and fully in control of what I watch and listen to.”
