1 Peter 5:8 warns us that we need to be self-controlled (make our own decision) and alert (think critically) to be protected against the enemy. And hypnosis has long been associated with those in the occult who want to reach evil spirits. This may even explain startlingly detailed “memories” that people wouldn’t normally have (Acts 16:16-18).

Critical thinking and decision-making skills guard what comes into the mind in light of Proverbs 4:23 (NIV): “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” When we put the guards to sleep, our hearts are left undefended, which directly influences our actions. Even if the hypnotist is working for our benefit, the risk of danger is phenomenal.

The Bible validates this. Galatians 5:22-23 mentions that we need to control ourselves, not give control to someone else. Romans 6:12-13 says we need to submit ourselves to God, not someone else. Romans 6:16 warns us against submitting our decisions to another. Despite the success stories, despite how much we may trust the hypnotist, the Bible tells us to stay away from anyone trying to control our minds.

The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 10:5 that we are to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Jesus. This means that we are directly responsible for what we choose to think about and dwell on.

When you have memory loss because of hypnosis?

To get God to fully restore your memory:

Go before God the Father in prayer and confess this activity as a sin and ask for His forgiveness.

Renounce this sin and activity before God the Father. She had to tell God that she would never do it again. Whenever you engage in something that draws demons in on you such as this type of activity, you have to both confess and renounce it before God. Confess it as a sin, and then renounce it by telling God that you will never, ever go back to this type of activity again.

Once the above 2 steps have been done, you have then taken away the legal right for that demon to be able stay attached. At this point, you have to verbally speak out loud to the demon and tell him that he now has to leave you and that he no longer has any more legal right to stay attached to you since the sin has now been fully confessed and fully renounced before God the Father.

I then gave her the following battle command on engaging with the demon after she had already confessed and renounced this sin before God the Father.

If no adverse reactions were encountered, he or she should let the matter rest and not be concerned. But if one is still in hypnotherapy, it should not be assumed that the practice is safe. If adverse circumstances are encountered or problems continue, the practice should be immediately stopped and professional help should be sought. If the problems are spiritual in nature and occult phenomena were encountered, the person should renounce the practice and seek professional Christian spiritual guidance.

Leviticus 19:26

Deuteronomy 18:10-12

The Battle Command

“I am now speaking to any and all demons who may have become attached to me as a result of my involvement in hypnotism. I have now fully confessed this activity as a sin before my God the Father.

I have now fully renounced this sin before my God and I will never, ever do it again. Demons, you no longer have any legal right to stay attached to me.

Demons, I now command you, in the name of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, to leave me now – and to never, ever come back on me again!

I repeat, each and everyone of you is to leave me right now in the name of Jesus Christ and you are to never, ever come back on me again!

I now Plead the Blood of Jesus Christ against any and all demons who have become attached to me over this last year as a result of my involvement in hypnotism. Go now, in the name of Jesus Christ! I repeat, go now in the name of Jesus Christ!”
