“Welcome to this hypnotherapy session, where you’ll learn to navigate the transition of your children leaving home and find a new sense of purpose and fulfillment. Take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, allow yourself to relax, letting go of any tension or stress.
Imagine yourself in a peaceful, comforting place, where you feel safe and relaxed. This could be a beach at sunset, a forest glade, or a cozy room in your home. Take a moment to visualize this place, and allow yourself to fully immerse in its tranquility.
As you continue to breathe deeply, I’ll guide you through this session, and we’ll explore ways to let go of the emotional attachment to your children, find a new sense of identity, and discover a fulfilling life beyond parenting.”
Deepening
“Now, imagine a warm, soothing light beginning to fill your body, starting at the crown of your head and flowing down to your toes. As this light travels through your body, it relaxes each muscle, quieting your mind and calming your emotions.
With each breath, this light grows stronger, filling you with a sense of peace and tranquility. You feel your eyelids growing heavy, your shoulders releasing, and your heart rate slowing. You’re becoming more relaxed, more calm, and more serene with each passing moment.
Allow yourself to let go of any thoughts or worries, and simply focus on the sensation of this peaceful light filling your body.”
Visualization
“Imagine yourself in your home, feeling the emptiness and silence now that your children have left. Notice how you feel. Do you feel sad, lonely, or anxious? Allow yourself to fully immerse in this feeling, and then take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, imagine any negative emotions leaving your body.
Now, imagine yourself letting go of the emotional attachment to your children. You’re releasing the need to be needed, the need to be in control, and the need to be the center of their lives. You’re acknowledging that they’re grown and capable of making their own decisions.
Repeat the following phrase to yourself: ‘I am proud of the person I’ve raised, I trust in their abilities, and I release them to live their own life.'”
Empowerment
“Imagine a sense of confidence and empowerment growing within you. You’re aware of your strengths, your accomplishments, and your positive qualities. You know that you can find a new sense of purpose and fulfillment beyond parenting.
As you continue to breathe deeply, repeat the following phrase to yourself: ‘I am capable, I am strong, I am worthy of a fulfilling life.’ Allow these words to fill you with confidence and empowerment.
Now, imagine yourself exploring new hobbies, interests, and activities that bring you joy and fulfillment. You’re meeting new people, trying new things, and discovering a new sense of purpose.

Integration
“Now, imagine yourself back in your peaceful, comforting place. Notice how you feel different, how you feel more confident, more calm, and more empowered.
Take a moment to integrate this new feeling of empowerment into your daily life. Imagine yourself facing similar situations, but this time, you respond with confidence, self-assurance, and a sense of purpose.
As you continue to breathe deeply, repeat the following phrase to yourself: ‘I am capable, I am strong, I am worthy of a fulfilling life.'”
Counting and Awakening
“As you continue to breathe deeply, I’ll count from 1 to 5, and when I reach 5, you’ll slowly, gently open your eyes, feeling refreshed, renewed, and filled with a sense of confidence and empowerment.
1… Your body feels relaxed, your mind is calm, and your heart is at peace.
2… You’re aware of your breath, slow and steady, filling you with tranquility.
3… Your thoughts are clear, your emotions are balanced, and your spirit is confident.
4… You feel connected to yourself, to others, and to the world around you.
5… When you’re ready, slowly open your eyes, and take a deep breath in, carrying this sense of confidence and empowerment with you into your daily life.”
Remember, the goal of this script is to guide the client into a state of deep relaxation, where they can access their subconscious mind and develop the confidence and empowerment to navigate the transition of their children leaving home and find a new sense of purpose and fulfillment.
