Visualization
“Imagine yourself in a scenario where someone is trying to cross one of your boundaries. It could be a friend, family member, or even a stranger.
Imagine yourself feeling calm, confident, and assertive. Imagine yourself communicating your boundary clearly and respectfully, using ‘I’ statements to express your needs and feelings.
Imagine the other person respecting your boundary, and apologizing for any inconvenience. Imagine yourself feeling empowered and in control, knowing that you have the power to set and maintain healthy boundaries.
Counting and Awakening
“As you continue to relax and visualize yourself setting and maintaining healthy boundaries, I’ll count from five to one, and when I reach one, you’ll slowly open your eyes, feeling refreshed, renewed, and ready to take on your day.
