With the power of your mind let go of this bias, I see things as they truly are. Feel the weight of these biases lifting, as you erase them from your mind.

Here is a script for a hypnotherapy session to help remove the attentional bias from the mind:

Induction

“Welcome to this hypnotherapy session, where you will explore the power of your mind and let go of the attentional bias. Take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, allow your body to relax, feeling the tension melt away. Imagine yourself in a peaceful, calm space, where you feel safe and relaxed.

“As you breathe in, imagine fresh, calming air filling your lungs, and as you exhale, imagine any stress, anxiety, or doubt leaving your body. Allow your eyelids to grow heavy, and your eyes to gently close, feeling the weight of your lashes as they shut.

“Imagine yourself sinking deeper into relaxation, feeling your heart rate slow, and your muscles relax. You are completely safe, and totally relaxed, allowing yourself to let go of any tension or concern. You are now in a deep state of relaxation, where your subconscious mind is receptive to positive change.”

Deepening

“Now, imagine yourself standing at the top of a staircase, with each step leading down into a deeper state of relaxation. As you take each step, feel yourself becoming more relaxed, more calm, and more focused. Take five steps down, and with each step, repeat the phrase, ‘I am more relaxed, I am more calm, I am more focused.’

“As you reach the bottom of the staircase, imagine yourself surrounded by a warm, comforting light. This light represents your subconscious mind, and it is here to guide you towards positive change.

“Take a moment to breathe in this light, feeling it fill your entire being, and as you exhale, imagine any remaining tension or stress leaving your body. You are now in a deep state of relaxation, where your subconscious mind is receptive to positive change.”

Removal of Attentional Bias

“Now, imagine a large, blank whiteboard in front of you. This whiteboard represents your mind, and on it, are written all the thoughts, beliefs, and biases that influence your perception. Take a moment to gaze at the whiteboard, and as you do, notice any thoughts, beliefs, or biases that seem to be standing out.

“Notice how some thoughts may be louder, or more prominent than others. These are the attentional biases that have been influencing your perception. Take a moment to acknowledge them, and as you do, imagine a large eraser appearing in your hand.

“Take this eraser, and begin to erase each of the attentional biases from the whiteboard. As you erase each one, repeat the phrase, ‘I let go of this bias, I see things as they truly are.’ Feel the weight of these biases lifting, as you erase them from your mind.

“Continue to erase each bias, one by one, until the whiteboard is completely blank. Take a moment to gaze at the blank whiteboard, and notice how clear and focused your mind feels.

“You are now free from the attentional bias, and able to perceive the world in a more balanced and objective way. Take a moment to celebrate this freedom, and know that it will stay with you always.”

Positive Affirmations

“Now, imagine yourself standing in front of the blank whiteboard, and as you look at it, repeat the following affirmations to yourself:

* I see things as they truly are.

* I am free from the attentional bias.

* I perceive the world in a balanced and objective way.

* I am confident in my ability to make rational decisions.

* I trust my ability to see things clearly.

“Repeat these affirmations to yourself, feeling the confidence and clarity of your new perspective. You are now free from the attentional bias, and able to live a more balanced and fulfilling life.”

Emergence

“Take a moment to notice how you feel, now that you are free from the attentional bias. Notice the sense of clarity and confidence that comes with seeing things as they truly are.

“As you prepare to emerge from this hypnotherapy session, remember that you can return to this peaceful, relaxed state whenever you need to. Take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, slowly open your eyes.

“You are now back in the present moment, feeling refreshed, renewed, and free from the attentional bias. Remember to take this newfound clarity with you, and apply it to your daily life. You are in control of your perceptions, and your life is full of possibilities.”
