The best way to move away from something negative is to move toward something positive.
Here is a hypnotherapy script to help you start moving toward things, not away from them:
Induction
Take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, allow your body to relax, letting go of any tension or stress. Imagine yourself sinking deeper into relaxation with each breath.
Imagine yourself standing at the top of a staircase, with each step leading you deeper into relaxation. With each breath, take a step down, feeling your body becoming heavier, sleepier, and more relaxed.
As you reach the bottom of the staircase, imagine yourself in a peaceful, calm place, surrounded by warmth and comfort. This is your safe space, where you can start moving toward things, not away from them.
Deepening
Allow yourself to settle even deeper into relaxation, feeling your body becoming heavier, your mind quieter, and your spirit more open.
Imagine a warm, soothing light filling your entire body, dissolving any remaining tension or stress. As this light circulates through your body, it awakens your sense of courage and confidence.
Moving Toward
Now, bring to mind something that you’ve been avoiding or procrastinating on. It could be a conversation you need to have, a task you need to complete, or a goal you need to achieve.
As you hold this thing in your mind, imagine a small, delicate arrow in front of you. This arrow represents your motivation and drive.
Take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, imagine gently pushing the arrow forward. See yourself moving toward the thing you’ve been avoiding, with confidence and courage.
Repeat the following affirmation to yourself, allowing the words to sink deeply into your subconscious mind:
“I move toward things, not away from them. I face my fears and overcome them.”
Visualization
Imagine yourself facing the thing you’ve been avoiding. See yourself taking small, manageable steps toward it, with confidence and courage.
As you visualize yourself moving toward the thing, feel a sense of empowerment and confidence growing within you. Know that you’re capable of overcoming any obstacle.
Reframing
Now, imagine reframing your thoughts about moving toward things. Instead of seeing them as obstacles, see them as opportunities to grow and learn.
Repeat the following affirmation to yourself, allowing the words to become a part of your inner dialogue:
“I move toward things with confidence and courage. I overcome any obstacle that stands in my way.”
Closing
Take a moment to integrate the insights and feelings from this journey. Know that you have the power to move toward things, not away from them.
As you slowly open your eyes, remember to carry this sense of courage and confidence with you, and to return to it whenever you need to face a challenge.
Repeat the following affirmation to yourself, as you go about your day:
“I move toward things with confidence and courage. I overcome any obstacle that stands in my way.”
Remember to use this script in a relaxing and comfortable environment, and to suit the individual’s needs and preferences.
