Induction
(Speak in a calm, soothing voice)
“Welcome to this hypnotherapy session, where you’ll learn to let go of unhelpful words and thoughts. Allow yourself to settle in, getting comfortable and relaxed. Take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, feel any tension or stress leave your body.
Imagine yourself standing at the top of a staircase, with each step leading you deeper into relaxation. As you begin to descend, feel your muscles release, your mind calm, and your breath slow. With each step, you become more relaxed, more focused, and more receptive to positive change.
You’re now at the bottom of the stairs, in a peaceful, serene environment. Notice the sensation of your feet connecting with the ground, feeling grounded and stable. Allow yourself to let go of any thoughts, worries, or concerns, and simply be present in this moment.”
Deepening
“Imagine a warm, soothing light beginning to fill your body, starting at the crown of your head and flowing down to your toes. As this light travels, it dissolves any remaining tension, calming your mind and relaxing your muscles.
With each breath, you become more relaxed, more focused, and more open to the suggestions that follow. You’re in a state of deep relaxation, where your subconscious mind is receptive to positive change.
Now, imagine yourself surrounded by a warm, comforting energy that fills you with a sense of calm and confidence. Allow this energy to nurture and support you, as you let go of unhelpful words and thoughts.”
Identifying Unhelpful Words
“Notice the words and phrases that you use to describe yourself, your thoughts, and your feelings. Are there any words or phrases that make you feel bad about yourself, or that hold you back from achieving your goals?
Perhaps you’ve been using words like ‘can’t,’ ‘won’t,’ or ‘should.’ Maybe you’ve been telling yourself that you’re ‘not good enough,’ or that you’re ‘a failure.’ Allow yourself to become aware of these unhelpful words, and the impact they have on your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
Imagine these unhelpful words and phrases as clouds in the sky, blocking the sunlight and casting shadows on the ground. As you become aware of these clouds, imagine them beginning to dissipate, one by one, allowing the sunlight to shine through and illuminate your path.”
Reframing Unhelpful Words
“Now, imagine yourself replacing these unhelpful words and phrases with empowering affirmations. Repeat the following phrases to yourself:
* ‘I am capable and competent.’
* ‘I trust myself and my abilities.’
* ‘I am worthy of love, respect, and success.’
* ‘I can and I will achieve my goals.’
As you repeat these affirmations, feel the shift in your energy, and the expansion of your mindset. You’re becoming more confident, more positive, and more empowered.
Imagine yourself using these empowering affirmations in your daily life, and notice the impact they have on your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. You’re becoming more resilient, more resourceful, and more determined to achieve your goals.”
Visualization
“Imagine yourself in a situation where you would normally use unhelpful words or phrases. Perhaps you’re facing a challenge, or feeling anxious or uncertain. See yourself using empowering affirmations instead, and notice the difference it makes in your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.
Visualize yourself feeling more confident, more calm, and more in control. Imagine yourself achieving your goals, and overcoming obstacles with ease. See yourself surrounded by positive, supportive people who encourage and inspire you.
As you visualize your success, notice the sensations in your body. Feel the sense of pride, the thrill of accomplishment, and the sense of fulfillment that comes with achieving your goals.”
Integration and Empowerment
“Remember, the power to choose your words and thoughts is within you. You have the ability to replace unhelpful words and phrases with empowering affirmations, and to create a more positive, confident mindset.
As you come out of this hypnotic state, take with you the sense of confidence, empowerment, and positivity. Know that you can access this feeling whenever you need it, simply by taking a few deep breaths and reconnecting with your inner strength.
