Start Focusing on What You Can Control with Hypnotherapy

Don’t force things. Give things your best shot and then let them be. If it’s meant to be, it will be. Don’t hold yourself down with things you can’t control. Remember, no book is just one chapter. No chapter tells the whole story. No mistake defines who we are.

Here is a hypnotherapy script to help focus on what you can control:

Induction

Take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, allow your body to relax, letting go of any tension or stress. Imagine yourself sinking deeper into relaxation with each breath.

Imagine yourself standing at the top of a staircase, with each step leading you deeper into relaxation. With each breath, take a step down, feeling your body becoming heavier, sleepier, and more relaxed.

As you reach the bottom of the staircase, imagine yourself in a peaceful, calm place, surrounded by warmth and comfort. This is your safe space, where you can focus on what you can control.

Deepening

Allow yourself to settle even deeper into relaxation, feeling your body becoming heavier, your mind quieter, and your spirit more open.

Imagine a warm, soothing light filling your entire body, dissolving any remaining tension or stress. As this light circulates through your body, it awakens your sense of control and empowerment.

Focus on What You Can Control

Now, bring to mind a situation that may be causing you stress or anxiety. It could be a problem at work, a relationship issue, or a personal challenge.

As you hold this situation in your mind, imagine a circle of control around you. This circle represents what you can control in this situation.

Repeat the following affirmation to yourself, allowing the words to sink deeply into your subconscious mind:

“I focus on what I can control, and I let go of what I cannot.”

As you repeat this affirmation, imagine the circle of control growing stronger, illuminating what you can control and letting go of what you cannot.

Visualization

Imagine yourself taking action within your circle of control. See yourself making decisions, taking steps, and making progress.

As you visualize yourself taking action, feel a sense of empowerment and confidence growing within you. Know that you are in control of your actions and your responses.

Reframing

Now, imagine reframing your thoughts about the situation. Instead of worrying about what you cannot control, focus on what you can control.

Repeat the following affirmation to yourself, allowing the words to become a part of your inner dialogue:

“I am in control of my actions and my responses. I focus on what I can control, and I let go of what I cannot.”

Closing

Take a moment to integrate the insights and feelings from this journey. Know that you have the power to focus on what you can control, and that this focus will bring you peace, confidence, and empowerment.

As you slowly open your eyes, remember to carry this focus with you, and to return to it whenever you need to refocus on what you can control.

Repeat the following affirmation to yourself, as you go about your day:

“I focus on what I can control, and I let go of what I cannot.”

Remember to use this script in a relaxing and comfortable environment, and to adjust the language and imagery to suit the individual’s needs and preferences.

Take Back Control with Hypnotherapy

You are the master of your life, and you have the power to create the reality you desire. You are in control, and you always will be.

Here is a sample hypnotherapy script to help take back control of your life:

*Induction*

“Welcome to this hypnotherapy session, where you’ll embark on a journey to take back control of your life. Allow yourself to relax, letting go of any tension or stress. Imagine yourself in a peaceful, serene environment, where you feel calm and safe.

Take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, allow your eyelids to grow heavy, feeling your eyes slowly closing. As you breathe in again, imagine fresh, calming air filling your lungs, and as you exhale, imagine any anxiety or doubts leaving your body.

With each breath, allow yourself to relax further, letting go of any resistance or tension. Your body is becoming heavier, more relaxed, and your mind is quieting, becoming more calm and focused.”

*Deepening*

“Now, imagine yourself standing at the top of a staircase, with each step leading you deeper into relaxation. With each breath, take a step down, feeling yourself becoming more relaxed, more calm, and more focused.

As you descend, imagine any thoughts or worries floating away, like leaves on a stream, disappearing into the distance. You’re becoming more relaxed, more centered, and more in control with each step.

At the bottom of the staircase, imagine a warm, comforting light enveloping you, filling you with confidence and self-assurance. You’re now in a state of deep relaxation, where your subconscious mind is open to positive suggestions and change.”

*Suggestions*

“Imagine yourself standing in front of a mirror, looking at the reflection of the person you used to be – the person who was in control, confident, and self-assured. See yourself smiling, feeling proud of who you are and the life you’re living.

Now, imagine that person stepping forward, taking control of their life. See yourself making decisions with confidence, setting boundaries with ease, and speaking your truth without fear.

You are the captain of your ship, navigating through life’s challenges with ease and grace. You trust yourself, you believe in yourself, and you know that you have the power to create the life you desire.

Repeat after me: ‘I am in control of my life. I trust myself and my abilities. I am confident and self-assured.'”

*Visualization*

“Imagine yourself in a situation where you previously felt out of control or overwhelmed. See yourself handling it with ease, confidence, and self-assurance. Imagine the feelings of empowerment, of being in charge, of knowing exactly what to do.

Now, visualize yourself in a future scenario, where you’re facing a new challenge. See yourself approaching it with confidence, knowing that you have the skills and abilities to overcome it. Imagine the sense of pride and accomplishment when you emerge victorious.

You are the master of your life, and you have the power to create the reality you desire. You are in control, and you always will be.”

*Awakening*

“Take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, imagine yourself slowly coming back to the present moment. When you’re ready, you can open your eyes, feeling refreshed, renewed, and more in control.

Remember, the power to take back control of your life is within you. Trust yourself, believe in yourself, and know that you have the ability to create the life you desire.”
