Here is a hypnotherapy script to help let go of patterns of procrastination and inactivity:
Induction
(Soothing music starts playing. The hypnotherapist’s calm and gentle voice begins to speak)
Hypnotherapist: “Welcome to this hypnotic journey, where you’ll discover the power to overcome procrastination and inactivity. Get comfortable, take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, allow any tension or stress to leave your body. Feel your eyelids growing heavy, relaxing, and closing. Take another deep breath in, and as you exhale, allow yourself to let go of any thoughts or worries that may be holding you back.”
Deepening
Hypnotherapist: “Imagine yourself standing at the top of a staircase, with 10 steps leading down to a peaceful and relaxing place. With each step down, you’ll feel yourself becoming more relaxed, more calm, and more focused. Take the first step down, feeling your body relax and your mind quiet. Take the second step down, feeling your breath slow down and your muscles release. Continue down the stairs, taking each step slowly and deliberately, until you reach the bottom, where you’ll find a sense of deep relaxation and calm.”
Visualization
Hypnotherapist: “Now, imagine yourself in a beautiful, peaceful environment. It could be a beach, a forest, or a mountain meadow. Take a moment to fully immerse yourself in this setting. Notice the sights, sounds, and sensations around you. Feel the warmth of the sun on your skin, or the coolness of the breeze on your face. Allow yourself to fully relax and let go of any remaining tension or stress.”
Reframing Patterns
Hypnotherapist: “Now, bring to mind a situation where you typically procrastinate or feel inactive. It could be a task, a project, or a goal you’ve been putting off. Visualize yourself in that situation, feeling the emotions and thoughts that normally accompany it. Notice how your body feels, and what thoughts are running through your mind. Take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, repeat after me: ‘I let go of procrastination and inactivity. I choose to take action and move forward.'”
Empowerment
Hypnotherapist: “Imagine a powerful, confident version of yourself, taking action and making progress towards your goals. See yourself feeling motivated, focused, and energized. Notice how your body feels, strong and capable. Repeat after me: ‘I am capable and confident. I take action and achieve my goals.'”
Reinforcement
Hypnotherapist: “Remember, every time you think about procrastination or inactivity, you’ll remind yourself of this empowering statement: ‘I let go of procrastination and inactivity. I choose to take action and move forward.’ And as you repeat it, you’ll feel a surge of confidence and motivation, guiding you towards taking action and achieving your goals.”
Counting Up
Hypnotherapist: “Now, I’ll count up from 1 to 5, and when I reach 5, you’ll slowly open your eyes, feeling refreshed, renewed, and ready to take action. 1… 2… 3… 4… 5. Open your eyes, and take a deep breath in, feeling empowered to overcome procrastination and inactivity.”
