Healing Core Shame Wound’s with Hypnotherapy

Here’s a sample hypnotherapy script to help heal core shame wounds:

Induction

(Speak in a calm, soothing voice)

“Welcome to this hypnotherapy session, where you’ll embark on a journey of healing and self-discovery. Find a comfortable position, either sitting or lying down, and take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth. Allow your body to relax and let go of any tension or stress.

Imagine yourself standing in a peaceful, serene environment, surrounded by nature’s beauty. Feel the gentle breeze on your skin and the warmth of the sun on your face. With each breath, allow yourself to relax further, letting go of any thoughts or worries.

As you exhale, repeat the phrase ‘I let go’ to yourself, allowing any feelings of shame, guilt, or self-doubt to release. Now, imagine yourself becoming heavier, more grounded, and connected to the present moment. Allow your eyes to gently close, and let yourself drift into a deep state of relaxation.”

Deepening

“Imagine yourself descending a gentle staircase, with each step leading you deeper into relaxation. As you descend, repeat the phrase ‘I am safe’ to yourself, allowing any fears or doubts to dissipate.

Notice the sensation of your feet touching the ground, feeling heavy and grounded. Imagine roots growing from the soles of your feet, deep into the earth, anchoring you in stability and support.

Now, visualize a warm, soothing light filling your body, starting at the crown of your head and flowing down to your toes. As this light travels, it dissolves any tension, anxiety, or shame, replacing it with a sense of calm and tranquility.”

Exploring the Shame

“Gently, bring your attention to the area of your life where you’ve experienced shame or self-doubt. It might be a specific event, a relationship, or a general feeling. Allow yourself to observe this area without judgment, noticing any emotions, thoughts, or physical sensations that arise.

Imagine yourself standing in front of a large, old mirror. This mirror represents the reflection of your self-worth and self-acceptance. Notice any distortions, cracks, or imperfections in the mirror, as well as any reflections or images that appear.

As you gaze into the mirror, allow yourself to acknowledge the shame and self-doubt that has shaped your life.

Repeat the phrase ‘I acknowledge my shame’ to yourself, giving yourself permission to feel and process these emotions.

Now, imagine a gentle, compassionate voice speaking to you, saying, ‘You are not defined by your past mistakes or experiences. You are worthy of love, acceptance, and forgiveness.’ Allow this voice to reassure you, reminding you that you deserve self-compassion and self-acceptance.”

Releasing the Shame

“Imagine a warm, golden light beginning to emanate from the mirror. This light represents the release of the shame and self-doubt. As the light grows, it starts to fill your body, dissolving any remaining shame, guilt, or self-doubt.

Repeat the phrase ‘I release the shame’ to yourself, allowing yourself to let go of the need for self-criticism and self-judgment. Imagine any negative self-talk or self-criticism becoming quieter, less prominent, and eventually fading away.

As you continue to breathe deeply, imagine yourself surrounded by a sense of self-acceptance and self-compassion. Allow yourself to feel a sense of kindness, gentleness, and understanding towards yourself, knowing that you are human and deserving of forgiveness and love.”

Integration and Closure

“Take a moment to notice how you feel, allowing yourself to fully embody this newfound sense of self-acceptance and self-compassion. Imagine yourself integrating this new perspective into your daily life, moving forward with greater self-love and self-acceptance.

As you slowly begin to return to a state of full consciousness, remember that you can always return to this place of self-acceptance and self-compassion. Repeat the phrase ‘I am enough’ to yourself, knowing that you have the power to choose how you respond to any situation.

When you’re ready, slowly open your eyes, and take a deep breath, feeling refreshed, renewed, and empowered. Remember to take this sense of self-acceptance and self-compassion with you, integrating it into your daily life, and know that you can always return to this peaceful, loving state whenever you need it.”

Post-Hypnotic Suggestions

“Before you fully emerge from this trance state, I offer you the following post-hypnotic suggestions:

* Whenever you feel shame or self-doubt, you will take a deep breath and remind yourself that you are worthy of love, acceptance, and forgiveness.

* You will approach challenging situations with greater self-compassion and self-acceptance, knowing that you are human and deserving of kindness and understanding.

* You will integrate this newfound sense of self-acceptance into your daily life, moving forward with greater confidence and self-love.

Remember, these suggestions will guide you in your journey towards healing and self-discovery. Trust in yourself and your ability to navigate any situation with ease and confidence.”

Additional Suggestions for Working with Shame

* Consider using a ‘self-compassion exercise’ where the client practices self-kindness, understanding, and acceptance towards themselves.

* Use imagery and visualization to create a ‘self-forgiveness ritual’ or ‘self-acceptance ceremony’, where the client honors and celebrates their own worthiness and deservingness of love and acceptance.

* Encourage the client to engage in self-care and self-compassion practices, such as journaling, meditation, or spending time in nature, to help them cultivate a deeper sense of self-love and self-acceptance.

* Consider using a ‘future self’ technique, where the client imagines themselves in a future scenario, feeling confident, self-assured, and self-accepting.

Embrace Your Physical ‘Flaws’ and Feel Comfortable in Your Skin with Hypnotherapy

To embrace your “flaws” and feel comfortable in your skin, focus on self-love by accepting your individuality, re-framing negative thoughts, and practicing gratitude.

Here’s a hypnotherapy script to help you feel comfortable in your own skin and embrace your physical “flaws”:

Title: Embracing Your Unique Beauty

Induction:

(Soft, calming music starts playing. Speak in a gentle, soothing voice)

“Welcome to this hypnotherapy session, where you’ll embark on a journey of self-acceptance and self-love. Allow yourself to relax, let go of any tension, and simply be present in this moment.

Imagine yourself standing in a peaceful, serene environment. Feel the ground beneath your feet, the air on your skin, and the sounds around you. With each breath, allow yourself to relax further, letting go of any thoughts, worries, or doubts.

“As you inhale, imagine fresh, calming energy entering your body. As you exhale, imagine any stress, anxiety, or self-doubt leaving your body. Allow yourself to settle into a deep state of relaxation, where you feel safe, supported, and completely at ease.”

Deepening:

“Now, imagine yourself descending into a deeper state of relaxation. With each step, feel yourself becoming more relaxed, more calm, and more centered. You’re letting go of any distractions, any tension, or any self-criticism.

As you breathe in, repeat the phrase ‘I am enough’ to yourself. As you breathe out, repeat the phrase ‘I release all self-doubt.’ Allow these words to become a mantra, reminding you of your worth, your value, and your beauty, just as you are.”

Therapeutic Section:

“Now, bring to mind a part of your body that you may have previously perceived as a ‘flaw.’ It could be a scar, a mole, a curve, or a shape that you’ve learned to criticize. As you focus on this area, notice how you’re feeling. Are you feeling self-conscious, anxious, or uncomfortable?

Imagine that you’re looking at this part of your body through the eyes of a compassionate, loving friend. See it with kindness, with understanding, and with acceptance. Remind yourself that this ‘flaw’ is a unique aspect of your beauty, a distinguishing feature that makes you, you.

“As you continue to breathe deeply, repeat the following phrases to yourself:

* ‘I accept and love my body, just as it is.’

* ‘I release all self-criticism and self-doubt.’

* ‘I celebrate my unique beauty and individuality.’

* ‘I am enough, exactly as I am.’

Allow these words to sink deep into your subconscious mind, becoming a part of your inner dialogue. Feel a sense of freedom, a sense of release, and a sense of self-acceptance wash over you.”

Empowerment:

“Now, imagine that you’re surrounded by a warm, loving light. This light represents your own self-acceptance, your own self-love, and your own self-worth. As you breathe in, imagine this light filling your entire body, nourishing your cells, and uplifting your spirit.

As you exhale, imagine any remaining self-doubt, self-criticism, or negativity leaving your body. You’re making space for self-love, self-acceptance, and self-compassion to flourish.

Remember, you are not just your physical body. You are a unique, beautiful, and radiant being, a strong spirit, deserving of love, respect, and kindness.

Repeat the following phrase to yourself, with conviction and confidence:

* ‘I love and accept myself, exactly as I am.'”

Counting Up:

“When you’re ready, slowly begin to bring yourself back to a state of full awareness. Take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, slowly open your eyes.

Remember, the feelings of self-acceptance and self-love that you’ve cultivated during this session will stay with you, guiding you towards a more compassionate and loving relationship with yourself.

Take a moment to notice how you’re feeling, and allow yourself to integrate the insights and emotions that have arisen during this session. You are enough, exactly as you are.”

(Soft music continues to play for another minute or two, allowing the client to slowly come back to full awareness)
