Calming a Migraine Headache “Switching off the Pain” with Hypnotherapy

Bring your attention to your head and neck, where the migraine is present. Imagine a warm, soothing energy beginning to flow into this area, filling any spaces where pain or discomfort may be present.

Here’s a hypnotherapy script for calming a migraine headache, focusing on “switching off the pain”:

Induction:

“Welcome, and allow yourself to settle in, getting comfortable and relaxed. Take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, feel any tension or stress leave your body. Imagine yourself in a peaceful, safe space, where you can let go of all worries and concerns.

“Begin to focus on your breath, feeling the sensation of the air moving in and out of your body. As you inhale, imagine fresh, calming energy entering your body, and as you exhale, imagine any pain, discomfort, or tension leaving your body.

“Allow your eyes to gently close, and take a moment to notice the sensation of your body sinking into relaxation. Feel the weight of your body distributed evenly, supported by the surface beneath you.

“Imagine a warm, soothing light beginning to emanate from the crown of your head, filling your entire body with calmness and tranquility. As this light spreads, it gently wraps around your head, neck, and shoulders, releasing any tension or discomfort.”

Deepening:

“Now, imagine yourself descending a gentle, winding staircase, with each step taking you deeper into relaxation. As you descend, feel your body becoming heavier, more relaxed, and more calm.

“With each step, repeat the phrase ‘I am calm, I am relaxed, I am at peace’ to yourself, allowing the words to become a gentle mantra, guiding you deeper into relaxation.

“As you reach the bottom of the staircase, imagine yourself standing in a peaceful, serene environment, surrounded by calming colors and soothing sounds. Take a moment to notice the sensations in your body, feeling the relaxation and calmness spreading throughout.”

Migraine Relief:

“Now, bring your attention to your head and neck, where the migraine is present. Imagine a warm, soothing energy beginning to flow into this area, filling any spaces where pain or discomfort may be present.

“As this energy spreads, it gently wraps around the blood vessels, calming and soothing them, reducing any inflammation or irritation. Imagine the migraine beginning to release, like a cloud dissipating in the sky, leaving behind a clear, calm, and peaceful space.

“Repeat the phrase ‘My body is healing, my body is calm, my body is at peace’ to yourself, allowing the words to become a powerful affirmation, guiding your body towards relaxation and relief.

“Imagine the pain and discomfort of the migraine beginning to fade, like a gentle wave receding from the shore, leaving behind a sense of calmness and serenity. As the pain releases, imagine your body filling with a sense of lightness, freedom, and relaxation.”

Switching off the Pain:

“Now, let us go even deeper bring your attention to the left over pain in your head. Imagine that the pain is like a switch, and you have the power to turn it off. Visualize a switch in your mind, and as you look at it, see that it’s currently in the ‘on’ position.

“Imagine yourself reaching out and flipping the switch to the ‘off’ position. As you do, feel the pain beginning to dissipate, like a cloud disappearing in the sky. Repeat the phrase ‘I am switching off the pain’ to yourself, allowing the words to become a powerful affirmation, guiding your body towards relaxation and relief.

“Imagine the pain melting away, like ice dissolving in the sun. Feel the sensation of calmness and tranquility spreading throughout your body, filling any spaces where pain or discomfort may have been present.

“Repeat the phrase ‘My body is healing, my body is calm, my body is at peace’ to yourself, allowing the words to become a gentle mantra, guiding your body towards relaxation and relief.”

Counting Technique:

“Now, I’m going to count backwards from 10 down to 1, and with each number, you’ll feel yourself becoming more relaxed, more calm, and more comfortable. As I reach the number 1, you’ll be in a state of deep relaxation, where your body can heal and release any tension or discomfort.

“10… feel yourself sinking deeper into relaxation, letting go of any tension or stress.

“9… imagine the pain switch flipping to the ‘off’ position, and feel the pain beginning to dissipate.

“Remember, that you can return to this state of relaxation and calmness whenever you need to, simply by taking a few deep breaths and focusing on the sensation of your body. When you’re ready, you can slowly open your eyes, and take a moment to notice how you’re feeling.

“Take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, feel yourself returning to a state of full awareness, feeling calm, relaxed, and refreshed. Remember to take care of yourself and listen to your body, allowing yourself to rest and recover when needed.”

Healing an Addiction by Balancing and Grounding the Root Chakra with Hypnotherapy – Part 1 of 3

To balance and ground your root chakra, or Muladhara, focus on connecting with nature, practicing grounding yoga poses like Mountain Pose, and engaging in mindful activities such as walking barefoot on grass.

Here is a hypnotherapy script to help with healing an addiction by balancing and grounding the Root Chakra:

Induction

(Soft, calming music plays in the background)

“Welcome to this hypnotherapy session, where you’ll connect with your inner self and work towards healing your addiction. Find a comfortable seated or lying position, close your eyes, and take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.

Allow your body to relax, starting from your toes, up to the top of your head. As you exhale, imagine any tension or stress leaving your body. Take another deep breath in, and as you exhale, feel your eyelids getting heavier, your jaw releasing, and your entire body sinking into relaxation.

Imagine yourself standing in a peaceful, serene environment, surrounded by nature. Feel the gentle breeze on your skin, the warmth of the sun on your face, and the sound of birds singing in the distance. With each breath, allow yourself to become more relaxed, more calm, and more receptive to the healing energy that surrounds you.”

Deepening

“Now, imagine a staircase leading down to a deeper level of relaxation. With each step you take, you feel yourself becoming more relaxed, more focused, and more connected to your inner self.

As you descend the staircase, repeat to yourself: ‘I let go of all resistance, I release all limitations, and I open myself to the healing energy that surrounds me.’

Arrive at the bottom of the staircase, and imagine a warm, golden light enveloping you. This light represents the energy of balance, harmony, and healing. Allow this light to fill your entire being, nourishing your mind, body, and spirit.”

Connecting to the Root Chakra

“Imagine a beam of light extending from your spine to your Root Chakra, located at the base of your spine. As you focus on this beam, repeat to yourself: ‘I connect with my Root Chakra, and I allow it to balance and heal.’

Visualize your Root Chakra as a vibrant, red energy center, strong and stable. Imagine any blockages or imbalances dissolving, like mist evaporating in the sun.

As you focus on your Root Chakra, repeat to yourself: ‘I am safe, I am grounded, and I am connected to my body and the present moment.'”

Identifying the Addiction

“Now, imagine a representation of your addiction in front of you. See it as a symbol, a image, or a feeling. As you gaze at this representation, repeat to yourself: ‘I acknowledge my addiction, and I allow it to release and let go.’

Take a moment to reflect on how your addiction has affected your life, your relationships, and your overall well-being. Allow yourself to feel any emotions that arise, and know that you are safe and supported.”

Releasing the Addiction

“Imagine a wave of healing energy washing over you, dissolving any cravings, desires, or attachments related to your addiction. Visualize yourself as a strong, capable, and confident individual, free from the grip of addiction.

As you focus on this wave of healing energy, repeat to yourself: ‘I trust in my ability to overcome addiction, and I allow myself to heal and grow.'”

Balancing and Grounding the Root Chakra

“Imagine a radiant, red light filling your Root Chakra, balancing and healing it. Visualize this light expanding, filling your entire body, and grounding you in the present moment.

As you focus on this light, repeat to yourself: ‘I am balanced, I am grounded, and I am connected to my body and the present moment.'”

Reprogramming

“As you continue to breathe deeply, allow yourself to let go of any negative thoughts, emotions, or patterns related to your addiction. Imagine any negative self-talk, self-doubt, or fear dissolving, like mist evaporating in the sun.

Replace these limitations with empowering affirmations:

* ‘I am strong, capable, and confident in my ability to overcome addiction.’

* ‘I trust in myself, and I allow myself to heal and grow.’

* ‘I am safe, I am grounded, and I am connected to my body and the present moment.’

* ‘I am worthy of love, care, and respect – for myself and others.’

Repeat these affirmations to yourself, allowing the words to sink deeply into your mind, heart, and soul.”

Integration and Awakening

“As you come to the end of this hypnotherapy session, take a moment to integrate the insights, feelings, and affirmations you’ve experienced. Know that you can return to this state of relaxation and connection whenever you need to.

When you’re ready, slowly open your eyes, and take a deep breath in, feeling refreshed, renewed, and connected to your inner self.

Remember, your subconscious mind is now reprogrammed to support your healing and growth. Trust in yourself, trust in the universe, and trust in the infinite wisdom that guides you.”
