Here is a sample script for a hypnotherapy session focused on addressing sexual dysfunction caused by performance concerns:
Title: “Confident Sexual Performance”
Induction:
“Welcome, and take a deep breath in. As you exhale, allow yourself to relax and let go of any tension or stress. Imagine yourself in a peaceful, calming environment, where you feel safe and supported.
“As you settle in, take another deep breath in, and as you exhale, allow your eyes to gently close. Feel your body becoming heavier, more relaxed, and more calm with each breath. You are safe, and you are in control.
“Imagine yourself descending a peaceful staircase, with each step, feeling yourself becoming more relaxed, more calm, and more centered. With each breath, repeat the phrase ‘I am relaxed’ to yourself, allowing the words to sink deep into your subconscious mind.”
Deepening:
“Imagine yourself in a beautiful, peaceful meadow, surrounded by lush green grass and vibrant wildflowers. Notice the sounds of nature around you, the birds singing, and the gentle rustling of the leaves. Feel the warmth of the sun on your skin, and the gentle breeze caressing your face.
“As you walk through this meadow, notice the different flowers and plants that represent different aspects of your life. See the flowers of confidence, the trees of self-assurance, and the sparkling stream of self-acceptance. Allow yourself to feel a sense of connection to this meadow, and know that it represents the best version of yourself.”
Performance Concerns:
“Now, imagine that you are standing in front of a mirror, looking at your reflection. See yourself as confident, capable, and strong. Repeat after me: ‘I trust in my ability to perform.’ ‘I am capable of pleasing my partner.’ ‘I am worthy of pleasure and intimacy.’
“As you repeat these affirmations, imagine them sinking deep into your subconscious mind, replacing any doubts or fears with confidence and self-assurance. See yourself as a sexual being, worthy of pleasure and intimacy.
“Imagine that with each breath, you are letting go of any performance anxiety, any fears of not being good enough, and any doubts about your abilities. See yourself as a confident, capable lover, able to please yourself and your partner.”
Visualization:

Counting and Awakening:
“Now, take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, slowly count backwards from five, feeling yourself becoming more alert and awake with each number. Five… four… three… two… one.
“When you are ready, slowly open your eyes, and take a deep breath in, feeling refreshed, renewed, and more confident in your sexual abilities.”
