Week 4:

“Imagine yourself with advanced relaxation skills, able to manage your tinnitus and maintain a sense of calm and well-being, even in stressful or challenging situations. See yourself using guided imagery and creative visualization to calm your mind and body, and repeat to yourself, ‘I am in control, relaxed, and at peace, and I trust myself to manage my tinnitus.'”

Additional Techniques:

In addition to hypnotherapy, the following techniques will be used to support the program:

Here is a sample hypnotherapy script for relieving tinnitus in the ears:

*Induction*

“Welcome to this hypnotherapy session, where you can relax and let go of the discomfort of tinnitus. Take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, allow your body to relax, starting from the crown of your head, down to your toes. Feel your eyelids growing heavy, your jaw releasing, and your arms and legs feeling heavy and relaxed.

Imagine yourself in a peaceful, quiet place, where you feel completely at ease. It could be a beach, a forest, or a cozy room in your home. Allow yourself to fully immerse in this environment, and let go of any tension or stress.

As you continue to breathe deeply, I want you to repeat after me: ‘I am calm, I am relaxed, I am in control.’ Say it with me: ‘I am calm, I am relaxed, I am in control.'”

*Deepening*

“Now, imagine yourself sinking deeper and deeper into relaxation. With each breath, feel yourself becoming more relaxed, more calm, and more peaceful. Your body is letting go of all tension, all stress, and all discomfort.

Imagine a warm, soothing light filling your body, starting from the top of your head, and flowing down to your toes. As this light touches each part of your body, it brings relaxation, calmness, and peace.

“Now, bring your attention to your ears. Imagine a gentle, soothing breeze blowing through your ears, calming the ringing, calming the noise. With each breath, feel the sound becoming softer, less loud, and more manageable.

Imagine a warm, comforting blanket wrapping around your ears, shielding you from the discomfort of tinnitus. Feel the gentle pressure of this blanket, calming your ears, and soothing your mind.

When you open your eyes, you will feel refreshed, renewed, and more calm. The discomfort of tinnitus will be reduced, and you will feel more in control.”

“Remember, the more you practice relaxation and visualization, the more your body will respond to the calming effects of hypnotherapy. Take a few minutes each day to breathe deeply, relax, and visualize yourself in a peaceful environment.
