This is for a 13-year-old boy, the questions need to be age-appropriate, gentle, and engaging, while still exploring self-love, self-worth, self-esteem, self-doubt, overthinking, and creating a new life story. I’ve crafted 30 questions suitable for a young teen that a hypnotherapist could use to customize a healing program.


I. Understanding Self-Perception & Self-Love (Questions 1–6)

  1. How do you usually feel about yourself when you wake up in the morning?

  2. What are three things about yourself that you like or feel proud of?

  3. Is there something about yourself you wish was different?

  4. When do you feel really happy with who you are?

  5. How do you talk to yourself in your head when you make a mistake?

  6. Who makes you feel safe and cared for, and why?


II. Exploring Self-Worth & Confidence (Questions 7–12)

  1. What are some things you do really well, even if they seem small?

  2. When do you feel confident, like you can handle anything?

  3. Are there moments when you feel like you’re not good enough? Can you explain?

  4. How do you feel when other kids or people compare you to them?

  5. If you could feel braver and stronger every day, what would that look like?

  6. What makes you feel proud of yourself, even just a little bit?


III. Understanding Self-Doubt & Limiting Beliefs (Questions 13–18)

  1. Are there times when you tell yourself “I can’t” or “I’m not good enough”?

  2. Can you remember the first time you felt unsure of yourself?

  3. What thoughts stop you from trying new things?

  4. Are there stories you tell yourself about what you can or can’t do?

  5. Do you ever feel like you need to be perfect to be liked or accepted?

  6. How do self-doubts affect your school, friends, or hobbies?


IV. Overthinking & Mental Habits (Questions 19–24)

  1. When your mind keeps thinking over and over, what usually makes you stuck?

  2. Do you worry a lot about what others think of you?

  3. How do you feel in your body when you are thinking too much?

  4. Do you ever get scared of making mistakes or failing?

  5. Are there things from the past you think about a lot and wish were different?

  6. If you could stop overthinking, what would you do with your energy?


V. Imagining a New Life Story & Personal Growth (Questions 25–30)

  1. If you could imagine a “super-you,” who is confident and happy, what would he be like?

  2. What kind of qualities would you like to grow inside yourself, like bravery, kindness, or patience?

  3. Are there past experiences or feelings you would like to let go of?

  4. What do you dream your life could look like in a few years if you believed in yourself?

  5. How would it feel to wake up every day knowing you are enough just as you are?

  6. If you could give your future self advice, what would you say to help him be strong, happy, and confident?
