To trust someone again, you must both be patient and commit to consistent, open communication. The person who broke trust needs to take responsibility, offer a sincere apology, and consistently match their words with their actions by following through on promises and demonstrating reliability over time.

Here is a hypnotherapy script for helping someone to trust again:

Induction

(Soft, calming music plays in the background. Speak in a gentle, soothing voice)

“Welcome to this hypnotherapy session, where you’ll let go of past hurts and learn to trust again. Get comfortable, relax, and take a deep breath in… and out… Feel your body sinking into the chair, supported and safe.

Imagine yourself standing in a peaceful place, surrounded by loving energy. With each breath, feel your muscles relax, your mind calm, and your heart open.”

Deepening

“Now, visualize a staircase leading down to a deeper level of relaxation. With each step, you feel more calm, more relaxed, and more open to positive change.

Take a step down… and another… and another. Feel your body becoming heavier, more relaxed, and more receptive to the suggestions I’ll be offering.

As you descend, repeat to yourself: ‘I let go of my resistance. I trust in the process. I am open to healing and growth.'”

Identifying Past Hurts

“Now, imagine a situation or person that has caused you to feel untrustworthy in the past. See it in your mind’s eye, but don’t feel like you need to relive the pain. Just acknowledge it, and allow yourself to feel any residual emotions.

Take a deep breath in… and out… As you exhale, imagine any tension or hurt leaving your body. Allow yourself to release the pain, but don’t forget the lesson.”

Reframing Trust

“Now, imagine a new scenario, where you are surrounded by trustworthy people, or situations that foster trust. See yourself feeling safe, supported, and valued.

Repeat to yourself: ‘I am worthy of trust. I attract trustworthy people into my life. I trust in my own abilities to discern who is trustworthy.’

Imagine a warm, loving light filling your heart, representing trust and positivity. As this light grows, it pushes out any remaining doubts or fears, replacing them with confidence and faith.”

Building New Trust

“Now, visualize yourself in a situation where you need to trust someone or something. See yourself feeling calm, centered, and confident.

Imagine that you have the power to choose who you trust, and that you trust your own instincts to guide you. Repeat: ‘I trust myself. I trust others. I trust in the universe’s plan for me.’

As you practice trusting in this new scenario, imagine your nervous system becoming more calm, your heart more open, and your mind more clear.”

Empowerment

“You are in control of your life, and you have the power to choose who you trust. Remember that trust is built gradually, and it’s okay to take things at your own pace.

Repeat to yourself: ‘I am strong. I am resilient. I am capable of trusting again.'”

Counting Up

“When you’re ready, slowly begin to come back to full awareness. Take a deep breath in… and out… Imagine yourself feeling refreshed, renewed, and more trusting.

Count up with me: 1… 2… 3… 4… 5… Your eyes gently open, and you’re back in the present, feeling more confident and trusting.”

Post-Hypnotic Suggestion

“Remember, trust is a journey, and it’s okay to take it one step at a time. Whenever you need to trust again, simply recall this feeling of calm, confidence, and faith. Trust in yourself, and trust in the process.”
