Some people take their time while others go from zero to 60 in a short period of time. No matter how long your journey is, most rehabilitation counselors agree that there are four main stages of addiction: experimentation, regular use, risky use/abuse, and drug addiction and dependency.

Here is a hypnotherapy script for “Detox Your Heart by Releasing Your Addiction”:

Induction:

(Soft, calming music plays in the background)

“Welcome to this hypnotherapy session, where you’ll embark on a journey to detox your heart by releasing addiction. Find a comfortable seated or lying position, with your back supported. Close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose, and out through your mouth.

Imagine yourself standing in a peaceful environment, surrounded by loving energy. With each breath, allow yourself to relax and let go of any tension.”

Deepening:

“As you inhale, imagine fresh, calming air filling your lungs. As you exhale, imagine any stress, anxiety, or worries leaving your body. Allow your eyelids to grow heavier, and your jaw to release any tension.

Imagine yourself descending a staircase, with each step taking you deeper into relaxation. With each step, feel your body and mind letting go of any resistance. You’re safe, supported, and free to explore your heart.”

Identifying Addiction:

“Now, bring to mind a specific addiction or compulsive behavior that’s affecting your life. Allow yourself to acknowledge these feelings, and notice where they reside in your body.

Imagine this addiction as a dense, tangled energy within your heart. See it as a knot, or a dark cloud. Allow yourself to observe this energy, without judgment.”

Releasing Addiction:

“Now, imagine a warm, liberating light beginning to emanate from your heart. This light represents your ability to release addiction, and find freedom. As it grows, it begins to surround the addiction, gently dissolving its hold.

Imagine this light as a gentle breeze, dispersing the addiction, and filling the space with clarity and empowerment. Repeat the phrase: ‘I release my addiction.’ Allow these words to become a mantra, guiding you deeper into this process.

As the addiction dissolves, imagine your heart becoming lighter, freer, and more empowered. Feel the sense of release and liberation as you let go of addiction.”

Heart-Centered Reflection:

“Now, imagine yourself standing in front of a mirror. Look into its reflection, and see your heart shining brightly, filled with clarity and empowerment.

Ask yourself:

What have I learned about myself and my heart during this journey?

What addictions am I willing to release, and what self-care practices can I commit to, to nourish my heart and soul?

Listen to your heart’s response, and allow its wisdom to guide you.”

Integration and Awakening:

“As you slowly begin to return to full awareness, take with you the sense of freedom and empowerment you’ve cultivated. Remember that you’re capable of releasing addiction, and that your heart is a powerful source of healing and transformation.

Take a deep breath in, and when you’re ready, slowly open your eyes. Return to your day with a renewed sense of clarity, empowerment, and connection to your heart.”

Post-Hypnotic Suggestion:

“Whenever you feel the urge to engage in addictive behavior, remember to breathe in liberating light, and repeat the phrase: ‘I release my addiction.’ Trust that your heart is capable of healing, and that you’re deserving of a life filled with freedom, love, and empowerment.”
