Imagine that you’re surrounded by a warm, protective light. This light represents your own inner guidance and wisdom. See this light growing stronger, filling your heart and mind with a sense of self-trust and self-compassion.
Here’s a sample hypnotherapy script for the phrase “I won’t abandon myself for anyone else”:
Induction
(Soothing music starts playing. The hypnotherapist speaks in a calm, gentle voice.)
Hypnotherapist: “Close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose, and out through your mouth. Feel the air fill your lungs, and then release any tension or stress as you exhale. Allow your body to relax, starting from the crown of your head, down to your toes.”
Deepening
Hypnotherapist: “Imagine yourself standing in a place where you feel completely safe and supported. It could be a cozy room, a peaceful garden, or a serene beach. Take a moment to notice the sensations in your body, and the feelings in your heart. As you breathe in, repeat the phrase ‘I am calm’ to yourself, and as you breathe out, repeat ‘I am relaxed’.”
Reflection
Hypnotherapist: “Now, take a moment to reflect on your relationships and interactions with others. Think about times when you may have compromised your own needs, desires, or values to please someone else. Allow yourself to feel any emotions that arise, whether it’s sadness, anger, or regret.”
Reframing
Hypnotherapist: “As you reflect on these experiences, I want you to consider the idea that you have the right to prioritize your own needs and well-being. You have the right to set boundaries, to say no, and to choose what’s best for you. Repeat the phrase ‘I won’t abandon myself for anyone else’ to yourself, and feel the sense of empowerment and self-love that it brings. You are worthy of love, care, and respect – from yourself, first and foremost.”
Visualization
Hypnotherapist: “Imagine that you’re surrounded by a warm, protective light. This light represents your own inner guidance and wisdom. See this light growing stronger, filling your heart and mind with a sense of self-trust and self-compassion. As you gaze at this light, repeat the phrase ‘I won’t abandon myself for anyone else’ once more, and feel the sense of commitment and loyalty to yourself that it brings. You are your own rock, your own safe haven, and your own best friend.”
Empowerment
Hypnotherapist: “As you continue to breathe deeply, remember that you have the power to choose how you show up in your relationships and interactions with others. You have the power to prioritize your own needs, to communicate your boundaries, and to say no when necessary. Repeat the phrase ‘I am strong and capable’ to yourself, and feel the sense of confidence and self-assurance that it brings. You are not responsible for other people’s happiness or fulfillment – you are only responsible for your own.”
Integration
Hypnotherapist: “As you integrate this sense of self-love and empowerment into your being, remember that it’s okay to put yourself first. It’s okay to prioritize your own needs, to take care of yourself, and to seek out relationships and experiences that nourish and support you. Take a moment to feel this sense of freedom and liberation, and allow it to fill your heart and mind.”
Affirmations
Hypnotherapist: “As you continue to breathe deeply, repeat the following affirmations to yourself:
* I won’t abandon myself for anyone else.
* I prioritize my own needs and well-being.
* I trust myself and my inner guidance.
* I am worthy of love, care, and respect – from myself, first and foremost.
* I am strong and capable of setting healthy boundaries.
Feel the truth of these words, and the sense of conviction that they bring. You are committed to yourself, and you will prioritize your own needs and well-being from now on.”
Counting Up
Hypnotherapist: “When you’re ready, I’ll count up from 1 to 10, and as I do, you’ll slowly start to come back to full awareness, feeling refreshed, renewed, and empowered. You’ll remember the sense of self-love and empowerment that you felt during this hypnotherapy session, and you’ll be able to draw upon it whenever you need it.
1… Start to come back to awareness
2… Feel your body becoming more alert
3… Notice your surroundings
