Creating a hypnotherapy script for letting go of someone you love involves guiding the individual through a process of acceptance, healing, and ultimately, release. It’s essential to approach this with sensitivity and compassion.
The following script is a sample and should be adapted to fit the individual’s specific needs and circumstances. It’s also crucial to ensure the person is in a comfortable and safe environment during the hypnotherapy session.
Induction:
(Soft, calming voice)
“Find a comfortable position, close your eyes, and take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth. Allow yourself to relax, feeling the weight of your body supported, completely safe and at peace.
Imagine yourself standing at the edge of a serene lake on a calm day. With each breath, feel your body relax further. Your muscles, your mind, everything letting go of tension.”
Deepening:
“As you breathe in, imagine fresh, healing air filling your lungs. As you breathe out, imagine any stress, anxiety, or pain leaving your body. With each breath, you’re becoming more relaxed, more at peace.
Now, visualize a staircase leading down to a peaceful place. With each step you take, you feel yourself becoming more relaxed, letting go of more tension. Take your time, breathe deeply, and descend these stairs at your own pace.”
Working Phase:
“Once you’re at the bottom of the stairs, imagine you’re in a beautiful, safe space. It could be a serene forest, a quiet beach, or any place that makes you feel completely at peace. Take a moment to notice the sights, sounds, and sensations of this place.
Now, visualize the person you love standing in front of you. See them clearly, their smile, their eyes, everything about them that you cherish. As you look at them, acknowledge the love you have for them. It’s okay to feel this love; it’s a part of you.
As you continue to breathe deeply, imagine a light beginning to form around this person. This light represents the love, the good times, and the memories you’ve shared. It’s a reminder of the impact they’ve had on your life.
Now, visualize this person beginning to step back, slowly. As they do, the light around them grows brighter and begins to take on a life of its own. It’s as if this light is symbolizing the bond you shared, but now it’s transforming.
This light begins to form into a balloon, filled with all the love, memories, and good times. See this balloon clearly, floating in front of you. With a deep breath out, imagine letting go of the string of this balloon.
Watch as it rises higher and higher into the sky. It’s okay to feel a sense of sadness or loss as you let go, but also notice a sense of peace and release beginning to fill you.
The balloon is now a part of the sky, a memory, a cherished experience. You’ve let go, but the love and the memories will always be a part of you, transformed into something that brings you peace rather than pain.”
Reorientation and Awakening:
“Take a few more deep breaths, feeling the peace, the release, and the acceptance spreading through you. Know that you can return to this peaceful place whenever you need to process your emotions or remember the love.
When you’re ready, slowly open your eyes. Take a deep breath in, feeling refreshed, renewed, and more at peace. Remember, it’s okay to grieve, but also remember that you’ve taken a significant step towards healing and letting go.
Take one last, deep breath in, and when you’re ready, return to your day with a renewed sense of calm and peace.”
Post-Hypnotic Suggestion:
“Whenever you feel the need to reconnect with this sense of peace and release, simply close your eyes, breathe deeply, and recall the imagery from this session. Allow yourself to let go, to heal, and to move forward with love and compassion for yourself and others.”
This script is a general guide and should be personalized based on the individual’s experiences and needs. It’s also important to conduct hypnotherapy within the bounds of your training and legal permissions. If you’re not a certified hypnotherapist, it’s best to refer individuals to a professional.
