Here’s a hypnotherapy script to help clients let go of the past, feelings, thoughts, and emotions linked to previous partners:
*Induction*
(Soothing music starts playing. The hypnotherapist guides the client into a relaxed state.)
Hypnotherapist: “Welcome to this journey of self-liberation. Take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, allow any tension or stress to leave your body. Feel the weight of your seat, the sensation of the air on your skin, and the sound of my voice guiding you into a peaceful state.”
(Pause for 2-3 minutes, allowing the client to relax further)
*Deepening*
Hypnotherapist: “Imagine yourself standing at the edge of a serene lake on a warm summer day. With each breath, feel your body sinking deeper into relaxation, like the gentle lapping of the water against the shore. As you inhale, imagine fresh, calming air filling your lungs. As you exhale, imagine any remaining tension or anxiety floating away on the water, carried by the gentle breeze.”
(Pause for another 2-3 minutes)
*Visualization and Letting Go*
Hypnotherapist: “Now, bring to mind the memories of your previous partner. Allow yourself to see them, hear their voice, and recall the emotions associated with that relationship. Notice how your body responds to these memories. Perhaps you feel a pang of sadness, a knot in your stomach, or a heaviness in your chest.”
(Pause for 30 seconds to 1 minute)
Hypnotherapist: “As you continue to breathe deeply, imagine a warm, golden light beginning to fill your body. This light represents your inner strength, self-love, and resilience. As it grows, it starts to envelop the memories of your previous partner, embracing them with compassion and understanding.”
(Pause for 30 seconds to 1 minute)
Hypnotherapist: “Now, imagine this golden light transforming those memories, releasing any negative emotions, feelings of guilt, shame, or regret. See these emotions dissolving, like autumn leaves crumbling to the ground, returning to the earth, and nourishing the soil of your soul.”
(Pause for 30 seconds to 1 minute)
Hypnotherapist: “As you exhale, repeat after me: ‘I release the past, I let go of the pain, and I set myself free.'”
(Restate the sentence 2-3 times, allowing the client to repeat it and internalize the message)
*Reinforcement and Empowerment*
Hypnotherapist: “You are now free from the emotional burdens of your past relationship. You are strong, capable, and deserving of love, happiness, and fulfillment. Imagine yourself walking away from the lake, feeling lighter, freer, and more empowered with each step.”
(Pause for 30 seconds to 1 minute)
Hypnotherapist: “Remember, you are the architect of your own life. You have the power to create the reality you desire. Trust in yourself, trust in your abilities, and know that you are worthy of love, joy, and success.”
(Pause for another 30 seconds to 1 minute)
*Counting and Awakening*
Hypnotherapist: “As you slowly open your eyes, take a deep breath in, and when you’re ready, count backwards from 5, feeling more alert, refreshed, and empowered with each number: 5… 4… 3… 2… 1.”
(Music fades out, and the client slowly opens their eyes, feeling more relaxed, calm, and in control)
Remember to always adapt the script to your client’s specific needs and preferences, and to use your professional judgment when guiding them through the hypnotherapy session.
