Guided Hypnotherapy Script

Healing Insecure Attachment & Restoring Inner Safety

(Approx. 20 minutes – slow, calm pace)

1. Preparation & Consent (1 minute)

“Find a comfortable position where your body feels supported.
There is nothing you need to do, nowhere you need to go.
This experience works only as deeply as feels safe for you.”

“If at any moment your awareness drifts, that is perfectly fine.
Your unconscious knows how to listen.”

2. Induction – Entering Relaxation (3 minutes)

“Take a slow, deep breath in through your nose…
and gently release it through your mouth.”

“With each breath, allow your body to soften.”

“Notice your feet…
your legs…
your hips…
your abdomen…”

“Let your shoulders drop.
Relax your jaw.
Soften your forehead.”

“You don’t need to relax perfectly.
Just enough.”

(Pause 5–10 seconds)

“Imagine your attention gently turning inward…
like stepping inside a quiet, peaceful space.”

3. Deepening – Safe Inner Place (3 minutes)

“In your mind, imagine a place where you feel calm and protected.
It could be real or imagined.”

“Notice the colors…
the temperature…
the feeling in your body.”

“This is a place where nothing is demanded of you.
Nothing can intrude.”

“Every time you return here, your nervous system remembers safety.”

(Pause)

4. Accessing the Attachment Pattern (without overwhelm) (3 minutes)

“Now, gently bring to mind a recent relationship moment that felt uncomfortable…
not the worst one – just enough to notice.”

“Notice what your body does when connection feels uncertain.”

“Where do you feel it?
Chest… stomach… throat…?”

“You are not reliving—only observing.”

“This sensation represents an old protection, not a flaw.”

5. Meeting the Younger Self (4 minutes)

“Allow an image of your younger self to appear…
at the age when this pattern first learned to protect you.”

“Notice their posture…
their eyes…
their emotional state.”

“They are not broken.
They are adaptive.”

“Silently say to them:
I see you.
I understand why you learned this.”

(Pause)

“Notice how their body responds to being seen.”

6. Re-parenting & Correction (5 minutes)

“Now imagine yourself stepping closer…
offering the presence that was once missing.”

“Say slowly and clearly, letting each word land:”

‘You are not too much.’
‘You do not have to earn love.’
‘Connection does not disappear.’
‘I am here, and I stay.’

(Pause between each line)

“Imagine this younger part receiving what they needed then—
consistency… warmth… calm.”

“Watch their nervous system settle.”

7. Installing Secure Attachment Beliefs (3 minutes)

“Now allow these truths to gently settle into your unconscious mind:”

‘I am safe in connection.’
‘I can be close and still be myself.’
‘I can tolerate space without abandonment.’
‘Love can be steady.’

“These are not hopes.
They are updates.”

8. Optional Spiritual Integration (use if appropriate)

“If it feels right, imagine a loving presence surrounding you—
pure, unconditional, non-withdrawing.”

“This love does not leave when you struggle.
It does not demand performance.”

“Rest here.”

9. Future Pacing – Living Securely (2 minutes)

“Now imagine a future moment in relationship – a situation that once triggered fear.”

“See yourself responding with calm presence…clear communication…inner steadiness.”

“Your attention remains with yourself, not the threat.”

10. Reorientation & Return (2 minutes)

“Begin to bring awareness back to your body…your breath…the room around you.”

“Wiggle your fingers and toes.”

“When you’re ready, gently open your eyes – bringing back calm, clarity, and integration.”

Aftercare Recommendation

After the session:

  • Drink water
  • Journal briefly
  • Avoid overstimulation for 30 minutes

Healing continues after the session as the unconscious integrates.
