Imagine that you have the power to choose how you respond to those promoters. Visualize yourself handling similar situations with confidence and self-awareness.
Here’s a sample hypnotherapy script for recognizing your feelings and promoters:
Induction
(Soft, calming music plays in the background)
“Welcome to this hypnotherapy session, where you’ll learn to recognize your feelings and understand their promoters. Find a comfortable position, close your eyes, and take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Imagine yourself standing in a peaceful forest, surrounded by tall trees and the sounds of nature. With each breath, allow yourself to relax and let go of any tension.”
Deepening
“As you continue to breathe deeply, imagine a warm, soothing light beginning to fill your body. This light represents self-awareness and understanding. It starts at the crown of your head and slowly flows down to your toes, filling any areas of tension or stress.
As this light touches each part of your body, allow it to reveal any hidden emotions or feelings. Imagine them rising to the surface, like bubbles in a champagne glass. With each exhalation, feel yourself becoming more aware and more relaxed.”
Identifying Feelings
“Now, bring to mind a recent situation where you felt a strong emotion. It could be happiness, sadness, anger, or fear. Allow yourself to recall the details of that situation and the feelings that arose.
Notice where in your body you feel that emotion. Is it in your chest, stomach, or head? Allow yourself to explore and understand that sensation.
Understanding Promoters
“As you reflect on that emotion, ask yourself: What triggered that feeling? Was it a person, a situation, or a thought? Allow yourself to understand the promoters of that emotion.
Imagine that promoter as a separate entity, and ask yourself:
Is it something within your control?
Can you change it or respond to it differently?
Repeat to yourself: ‘I understand my feelings and their promoters. I am aware of my emotions and can respond to them in a healthy way.'”
Reframing and Empowerment
“Now, imagine that you have the power to choose how you respond to those promoters. Visualize yourself handling similar situations with confidence and self-awareness.
Repeat to yourself: ‘I am in control of my emotions. I can recognize and manage them in a healthy way. I trust myself to make positive choices.’
Counting Up and Awakening
“When you’re ready, slowly begin to bring yourself back to full awareness. Take a few deep breaths, feeling more self-aware and empowered.
Imagine yourself returning to the present moment, carrying this newfound understanding with you. Take a deep breath in, and when you’re ready, slowly open your eyes.
Remember, you can return to this state of self-awareness whenever you need it. Simply close your eyes, take a few deep breaths, and allow yourself to understand your feelings and their promoters.”
Post-Hypnotic Suggestion
“From now on, whenever you feel a strong emotion, take a deep breath and ask yourself: What am I feeling? What is promoting this emotion? Allow yourself to understand and respond in a healthy way.
Remember, you are in control of your emotions and can choose to respond positively. Trust yourself, trust the process, and know that you are deserving of emotional awareness and well-being.”
