Trust yourself and your decisions, and to always prioritize your own self-worth and self-respect.
Here is a sample hypnotherapy script for standing back from other people’s judgmental opinions:
*Induction*
“Welcome to this hypnotherapy session, where you’ll learn to stand back from other people’s judgmental opinions and cultivate a deeper sense of self-confidence and self-worth. Take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, allow yourself to relax and let go of any tension or stress. Imagine yourself in a peaceful, safe space, where you feel completely comfortable and at ease.
“Allow your eyes to gently close, and take another deep breath in. As you inhale, imagine fresh, calming air filling your lungs. As you exhale, imagine any worries or concerns leaving your body. With each breath, feel yourself becoming more relaxed, more calm, and more centered.
“Imagine a warm, soothing light beginning to fill your body, starting at the crown of your head and flowing down to your toes. As this light travels through your body, it dissolves any remaining tension or stress, leaving you feeling calm, relaxed, and focused.”
*Deepening*
“Now, imagine yourself standing in a peaceful, serene environment, surrounded by nature’s beauty. It could be a beach at sunset, a mountain meadow, or a peaceful forest. Take a moment to absorb the sights, sounds, and sensations of this environment, and allow yourself to feel completely relaxed and at ease.
“Notice the sensation of your feet connecting with the earth beneath you. Feel the weight of your body distributed evenly, and imagine roots growing from the soles of your feet, deep into the earth. With each breath, feel yourself becoming more grounded, more centered, and more connected to your inner self.”
*Standing Back from Judgmental Opinions*
“Now, bring to mind a situation where someone else’s judgmental opinion affected you. Maybe it was a criticism, a negative comment, or a disapproving look. Imagine yourself standing in that situation, feeling the emotions that arose.
“Notice how you feel when someone else’s opinion weighs on you. Do you feel uncertain, insecure, or unworthy? Do you feel like you need to prove yourself to others or seek their approval?
“Now, imagine yourself taking a step back from that situation. Imagine yourself standing back from those judgmental opinions, and instead, focus on your own inner guidance and self-worth.
“Repeat after me: ‘I trust myself and my decisions.’ ‘I am worthy of love and respect, regardless of what others think.’
“Imagine a warm, empowering light filling your body, starting at the crown of your head and flowing down to your toes. As this light travels through your body, it strengthens your sense of self-confidence and self-worth, and reminds you that you are capable and deserving of making your own decisions.”
*Reinforcement*
“From this day forward, you’ll carry this sense of self-confidence and self-worth with you in all aspects of your life. You’ll stand back from other people’s judgmental opinions and focus on your own inner guidance and wisdom.
“Imagine yourself in different scenarios, responding to challenges with confidence, self-assurance, and inner strength. You’re making decisions that align with your values and goals, and you’re not letting anyone else’s opinions dictate your path.
“Remember, you are worthy of love, respect, and happiness, regardless of what others think. You are unique, special, and deserving of living a life that reflects your true self.”
*Counting and Awakening*
“Now, take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, imagine yourself slowly coming back to the present moment. You can open your eyes when you’re ready, feeling refreshed, renewed, and empowered to stand back from other people’s judgmental opinions.
“Take a moment to notice how you feel before getting up and going about your day. Remember to trust yourself and your decisions, and to always prioritize your own self-worth and self-respect.
“From 5 to 1, slowly count yourself back to full awareness, feeling refreshed, renewed, and empowered to stand back from other people’s judgmental opinions. 5… 4… 3… 2… 1.”
