Don’t force things. Give things your best shot and then let them be. If it’s meant to be, it will be. Don’t hold yourself down with things you can’t control. Remember, no book is just one chapter. No chapter tells the whole story. No mistake defines who we are.
Here is a hypnotherapy script to help focus on what you can control:
Induction
Take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, allow your body to relax, letting go of any tension or stress. Imagine yourself sinking deeper into relaxation with each breath.
Imagine yourself standing at the top of a staircase, with each step leading you deeper into relaxation. With each breath, take a step down, feeling your body becoming heavier, sleepier, and more relaxed.
As you reach the bottom of the staircase, imagine yourself in a peaceful, calm place, surrounded by warmth and comfort. This is your safe space, where you can focus on what you can control.
Deepening
Allow yourself to settle even deeper into relaxation, feeling your body becoming heavier, your mind quieter, and your spirit more open.
Imagine a warm, soothing light filling your entire body, dissolving any remaining tension or stress. As this light circulates through your body, it awakens your sense of control and empowerment.
Focus on What You Can Control
Now, bring to mind a situation that may be causing you stress or anxiety. It could be a problem at work, a relationship issue, or a personal challenge.
As you hold this situation in your mind, imagine a circle of control around you. This circle represents what you can control in this situation.
Repeat the following affirmation to yourself, allowing the words to sink deeply into your subconscious mind:
“I focus on what I can control, and I let go of what I cannot.”
As you repeat this affirmation, imagine the circle of control growing stronger, illuminating what you can control and letting go of what you cannot.
Visualization
Imagine yourself taking action within your circle of control. See yourself making decisions, taking steps, and making progress.
As you visualize yourself taking action, feel a sense of empowerment and confidence growing within you. Know that you are in control of your actions and your responses.
Reframing
Now, imagine reframing your thoughts about the situation. Instead of worrying about what you cannot control, focus on what you can control.
Repeat the following affirmation to yourself, allowing the words to become a part of your inner dialogue:
“I am in control of my actions and my responses. I focus on what I can control, and I let go of what I cannot.”
Closing
Take a moment to integrate the insights and feelings from this journey. Know that you have the power to focus on what you can control, and that this focus will bring you peace, confidence, and empowerment.
As you slowly open your eyes, remember to carry this focus with you, and to return to it whenever you need to refocus on what you can control.
Repeat the following affirmation to yourself, as you go about your day:
“I focus on what I can control, and I let go of what I cannot.”
Remember to use this script in a relaxing and comfortable environment, and to adjust the language and imagery to suit the individual’s needs and preferences.
