Allow Acceptance for your Actions of Guilt and Shame linked to My Gluttony with Hypnotherapy

Gluttony is the excessive and uncontrolled consumption of food, drink, or other things, often to the point of wastefulness or lack of self-control.

Here’s a sample hypnotherapy script that addresses feelings of guilt and shame related to gluttony, and promotes acceptance and personal growth:

Title: Acceptance and Release from Guilt and Shame linked to My Gluttony

Introduction:

(Soothing music starts playing. The hypnotherapist’s voice is calm and gentle.)

Hypnotherapist: “Welcome to this hypnotherapy session. Allow yourself to settle in, get comfortable, and take a deep breath in… and out… Feel the weight of your body on the chair, the sensation of the air on your skin, and the sound of my voice guiding you through this process. You’ve taken a brave step by acknowledging your actions and seeking help. Remember, this is a safe and non-judgmental space for you to explore your feelings and work towards healing and growth.”

Induction:

“Close your eyes and take another deep breath in… As you exhale, imagine any tension or stress leaving your body. Imagine yourself standing at the top of a staircase, with each step leading you deeper into relaxation. With each step, feel your body becoming heavier, more relaxed, and more open to positive change.

Take 5-7 steps down, and with each step, repeat the phrase ‘I let go’ to yourself.”

Deepening:

“Imagine yourself in a peaceful, safe place. This could be a beach, a forest, or any place that feels comfortable and relaxing to you. Take a moment to notice the sights, sounds, and sensations in this place. Feel the ground beneath your feet, the air on your skin, and the sense of calm in your heart. As you breathe in, imagine fresh, calming energy entering your body. As you breathe out, imagine any remaining tension or stress leaving your body.”

Addressing Guilt and Shame:

“Now, bring to mind the experience of overindulging in food, drink, or other substances. Allow yourself to acknowledge the feelings of guilt and shame that arise.

Notice where these feelings reside in your body. Is it in your stomach, your throat, or somewhere else?

Imagine these feelings as a cloud or a color in your body. As you breathe in, imagine fresh, calming energy entering this cloud or colour. As you breathe out, imagine the cloud or colour beginning to dissipate, releasing the guilt and shame from your body.

Remember, that it’s okay to enjoy the pleasures of life, but excessive indulgence can lead to harm and discomfort.”

Releasing Guilt and Shame:

“Repeat the following phrase to yourself, allowing the words to sink deeply into your mind and heart: ‘I acknowledge my gluttony, and I release the guilt and shame associated with it. I understand that I was trying to meet my own needs and desires, but I also recognize the harm that overindulgence can cause. I choose to learn from my experience, take responsibility for my actions, and work towards developing healthier habits and self-care practices.’

As you repeat this phrase, imagine the cloud or colour in your body continuing to dissipate, releasing any remaining guilt and shame.”

Acceptance and Self-Compassion:

“Now, imagine a warm, comforting light filling your body. This light represents acceptance, self-compassion, and understanding. As you breathe in, imagine this light nourishing your heart and mind. As you breathe out, imagine any self-criticism or self-doubt leaving your body.

Repeat the following phrase to yourself, allowing the words to become a part of your inner dialogue: ‘I am enough, exactly as I am. I am worthy of love, compassion, and forgiveness – from myself and others.’ Remember, that it’s okay to make mistakes and that you can always learn and grow from your experiences.”

Integration and Closure:

“Take a moment to notice how you’re feeling now. Notice any shifts in your body or your emotional state. Imagine yourself integrating the insights and releases from this session into your daily life. As you breathe in, imagine fresh energy and positivity entering your body. As you breathe out, imagine any remaining challenges or difficulties leaving your body.

When you’re ready, slowly open your eyes, and take a deep breath in, feeling refreshed, renewed, and more at peace. Remember to be gentle and kind to yourself, as you continue on your journey of healing and growth.”

Post-Hypnotic Suggestion:

“Remember, you can return to this peaceful, safe place whenever you need to. Whenever you feel overwhelmed or challenged, take a deep breath in, and repeat the phrase ‘I am enough, exactly as I am.’ Allow yourself to release any guilt, shame, or self-criticism, and instead, cultivate self-acceptance, self-love, and compassion – towards yourself and others. And when you’re ready, consider taking small steps towards developing healthier habits and self-care practices, such as practicing mindful eating, engaging in regular exercise, or seeking support from loved ones. Remember, that you deserve to live a life filled with balance, harmony, and inner peace.”

This script is meant to be a sample and can be modified to suit the specific needs and circumstances of the individual. It’s essential to work with a trained hypnotherapist who can tailor the script and provide a safe, supportive environment for the client to process their emotions and work through their challenges.

Awaken Your Authentic Self by Forgiving Yourself with Hypnotherapy

This hypnotherapy session is designed to guide you in the process of forgiving yourself, allowing you to release the burdens of self-criticism, guilt, and shame. By letting go of these weights, you can awaken your authentic self and live a more compassionate, empowered life.

Find a quiet, comfortable space where you can sit or lie down without distractions, close your eyes, and take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.

Awaken Your Authentic Self by Forgiving Yourself with Hypnotherapy Script:

Induction:

(Soft, calming music starts playing in the background)

“Allow yourself to relax, feeling the weight of your body supported by the surface beneath you. Take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, feel any tension or stress leaving your body. Imagine a warm, soothing light beginning to fill the space around you, calming your mind and relaxing your muscles.

As you breathe in, repeat the phrase ‘I am calm’ to yourself. As you breathe out, repeat ‘I am relaxed.’ Allow this calmness and relaxation to deepen with each breath, feeling your body and mind letting go of all tension.

Imagine yourself standing in a peaceful, serene environment, surrounded by nature’s beauty. With each breath, feel your connection to your heart and your true self growing stronger.”

Deepening:

“Now, imagine yourself walking along a winding path, surrounded by tall trees and the sound of gentle water flowing in the distance. As you walk, notice the sensation of your feet touching the ground, feeling the weight and the connection to the earth.

With each step, allow yourself to become more relaxed, more open, and more receptive to the process of self-forgiveness. Remember, forgiveness is not about erasing the past or condoning mistakes, but about releasing the hold that these experiences have on your present and your future.

As you continue on this path, come across a clearing. In the center of this clearing stands a large, ancient tree, its branches stretching towards the sky. This tree represents your higher self, your wisdom, and your capacity for compassion and forgiveness.

Approach the tree, and as you do, feel a sense of calm and peace emanating from it. Allow yourself to sit at the base of the tree, feeling its energy and its wisdom. Take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, repeat the phrase ‘I am ready to forgive myself.'”

Forgiveness:

“Now, bring to mind a situation or experience from your past that still weighs on your heart. It could be a mistake, a regret, or a perceived failure. Allow yourself to see the situation clearly, but without judgment.

As you reflect on this experience, repeat the following phrases to yourself: ‘I did the best I could with the resources I had at the time. I am not defined by this one experience. I am more than my mistakes.’

Imagine that with each breath, you are releasing the burden of guilt, shame, or self-criticism associated with this experience. Feel the weight lifting, allowing you to breathe more freely, to stand taller, and to see yourself with more compassion and understanding.

Remember, you are human, and it is okay to make mistakes. It is okay to not have all the answers. And it is okay to ask for help. Forgiveness is not about forgetting or excusing, but about freeing yourself from the hold of negative emotions and self-doubt.

As you continue to breathe, imagine that you are enveloping yourself in a warm, loving light. This light represents your capacity for self-love, self-acceptance, and self-forgiveness. Allow this light to fill any areas of pain, regret, or self-doubt, healing and nurturing your heart and your soul.”

Integration and Empowerment:

“Now, take a moment to reflect on the insights and feelings that have arisen during this journey. Notice how you feel about yourself, your life, and your potential. Remember, you have the power to choose how you see yourself and the world around you.

As you prepare to return to your waking state, repeat the following affirmations to yourself: ‘I am worthy of forgiveness and compassion. I trust in my ability to let go of the past and to embrace my present. I am empowered to live my truth, to express myself fully, and to share my gifts with the world.’

Take one final, deep breath in, feeling the energy of your authentic self fully integrated into your being. When you are ready, you can slowly open your eyes, returning to your day with a renewed sense of purpose, compassion, and connection to your true self.”

Awakening:

(Soft, calming music continues to play as you slowly come back to full awareness)

“Take your time, and when you’re ready, slowly open your eyes. Notice how you feel, and remember that the sense of forgiveness, compassion, and connection to your authentic self that you’ve experienced during this hypnotherapy session is always available to you. Carry this feeling with you, embracing your authenticity and living your truth. Remember, forgiveness is a journey, and it’s okay to take it one step at a time. Be patient, be kind, and be compassionate with yourself as you continue on your path towards self-discovery and empowerment.”
