Blue nurtures feelings of serenity, peace, protection and healing and on the flip side can appear cold and uninviting to some. The sea is one of my most favourite things, which to me, provides all the above and more!

The many hues of this colour can lower the heart rate and blood pressure, sooth our mood and heighten psychic energy, truth and stability. The Throat Chakra is blue, our communication centre, and when out of alignment it can cause our ability to converse with others to be misunderstood and stop us facing that which we need to say to ourselves and others for healing. A colour of many positives and negatives but one that brings freedom, openness and tranquility to our day.

Here are some ways to tap into the spiritual, healing power of the color blue:

1. Visualization: Close your eyes and imagine yourself surrounded by a calming, blue light. Visualize this light filling your entire body, soothing your emotions, and promoting spiritual connection. See this light radiating from your throat chakra, spreading throughout your body, and filling you with communication, intuition, and wisdom.

2. Meditation: Sit comfortably, close your eyes, and focus on your breath. Imagine a blue light entering your body with each inhale, and any emotional turmoil or stress leaving your body with each exhale. As you meditate, allow yourself to let go of any emotional baggage, and connect with the calming, soothing energy of blue.

3. Chakra Balancing: Focus on each of your seven chakras (root, sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye, and crown), and imagine a blue light cleansing and balancing each one. As you visualize this light, repeat affirmations such as “I am calm, centered, and connected to my inner wisdom” or “I trust in my ability to communicate effectively.”

4. Water Connection: Spend time near water, and imagine the calming, soothing energy of the blue water filling your body and mind. Visualize the blue energy of the water resonating with your own energy, promoting relaxation, intuition, and spiritual connection.

5. Gemstone Healing: Work with blue gemstones such as sapphire, lapis lazuli, or aquamarine to amplify the spiritual, healing power of the color blue. Hold the gemstone in your hand, and imagine its energy resonating with the blue light, promoting calmness, intuition, and spiritual connection.

6. Sound Healing: Listen to calming, soothing sounds such as ocean waves or a gentle stream, and imagine these sounds filling your body with the calming energy of blue. You can also use sound healing tools like a singing bowl or tuning fork to amplify the energy of blue.

7. Colour Therapy: Surround yourself with the color blue in your daily life. Wear blue clothes, use blue bedding, or decorate your space with blue paintings or flowers. This will help you connect with the spiritual, healing power of the color blue on a daily basis.

8. Prayer and Intention: Set an intention to connect with the spiritual, healing power of the color blue. Pray for calmness, intuition, and spiritual connection, and imagine a blue light responding to your intention, filling you with the desired outcome.

9. Yoga and Movement: Practice yoga or movement exercises that promote flexibility, relaxation, and spiritual connection. Imagine a blue light filling your body as you move, and visualize this light spreading throughout your entire being, promoting calmness, intuition, and spiritual growth.

10. Gratitude and Reflection: Take time to reflect on the things you’re grateful for in your life. Imagine a blue light filling your heart, and visualize this light spreading throughout your entire being, promoting feelings of calmness, intuition, and spiritual connection.

By incorporating these practices into your daily life, you can tap into the spiritual, healing power of the color blue, and experience a deeper sense of calmness, intuition, and spiritual connection.

As always, follow your heart and make your own judgements when selecting colours to wear and have around you. Every occasion, experience, day of the week, everything is affected by colour, as you are! How we feel, and react, about a colour is affected by so many factors that it makes each one unique to you. I always wore black, an imprinted societal pressure, yet it is such a dark, depressing colour. I try to avoid it now, which helps me to raise my mood, vibration and ability to help others evolve.
