Here are two commonly used awakening (reorientation) hypnotherapy scripts. They are designed to help a person return to normal alertness feeling refreshed, positive, and fully present.
1. Counting Up Awakening Script
“In a moment, I will count from 1 to 5.
With each number, you will become more awake, alert, and refreshed.
Bringing back with you all the positive feelings and insights that are helpful for you.
1… Becoming aware of your body.
2… Energy beginning to return to your arms and legs.
3… Taking a deeper breath, feeling refreshed and comfortable.
4… Becoming more alert, aware of the room around you.
5… Eyes open, fully awake, feeling refreshed, alert, and positive.
Take a moment to stretch if you wish, noticing how good it feels to be fully present and awake.”
2. Sunrise Awakening Script
“Imagine that a beautiful sunrise is beginning to appear on the horizon.
As the sun rises, it fills you with fresh energy, clarity, and vitality.
The warm light moves through your body, awakening every muscle and every thought.
You feel refreshed, balanced, and renewed.
In a moment, I will count from 1 to 3.
1… Bringing your awareness back to the room.
2… Feeling energized and alert, carrying with you all the positive benefits of this experience.
3… Eyes open, fully awake, feeling clear-minded, refreshed, and ready to continue your day.”
