Releasing Anxiety, Stress, and Past Traumas

Introduction

This session is designed to help you gently release anxiety, reduce stress, and begin healing emotional wounds from the past.

You do not need to force anything.

You do not need to relive painful experiences.

You do not need to struggle.

Instead, your subconscious mind can take from this session only what is helpful, healing, and beneficial for you.

You remain safe.

You remain in control.

And you allow your mind and body to move toward greater peace, emotional freedom, and healing.

Induction

Find a comfortable position.

Allow your eyes to gently close.

Take a slow, deep breath in.

And slowly breathe out.

Again…

Breathing in calmness.

Breathing out tension.

With every breath, allow your body to relax.

Relax the muscles around your eyes.

Relax your jaw.

Relax your neck and shoulders.

Allow relaxation to flow down through your arms.

Into your hands.

Through your chest.

Your abdomen.

Your hips.

Your legs.

And into your feet.

Each breath carries you deeper into comfort.

Deeper into peace.

Deeper into relaxation.

Deepening

Imagine standing at the top of a beautiful staircase.

This staircase leads to a place of complete safety and healing.

With every step down, you feel more relaxed.

10… calm.

9… peaceful.

8… safe.

7… letting go.

6… deeper and deeper.

5… comfortable.

4… relaxed.

3… peaceful.

2… safe.

1… completely relaxed.

At the bottom of the staircase is a beautiful sanctuary.

A place where healing naturally occurs.

A place where you feel completely safe.

Protected.

Supported.

Loved.

Releasing Anxiety

Notice any anxiety that may be present.

You do not need to fight it.

You do not need to resist it.

Simply observe it.

Imagine that anxiety appearing as a cloud.

Notice its shape.

Its size.

Its color.

And now imagine a gentle breeze beginning to move through your sanctuary.

The breeze carries the cloud away.

Farther and farther into the distance.

With every breath, anxiety becomes lighter.

Smaller.

Less important.

Less powerful.

You realize that anxiety is something you experience.

It is not who you are.

You are much greater than any anxious thought.

Much stronger than any fear.

Much wiser than any worry.

Releasing Stress

Imagine stress leaving your body.

Perhaps it leaves through your breath.

Perhaps it leaves through your muscles.

Perhaps it simply melts away.

Feel your shoulders becoming lighter.

Your chest becoming more open.

Your stomach becoming softer.

Your entire nervous system settling into calmness.

Every breath signals safety to your mind and body.

Every breath restores balance.

Every breath allows healing.

You no longer need to carry the weight of everything.

You release what is not yours to carry.

You release what you cannot control.

You allow yourself to rest.

Healing Past Traumas

Now imagine a healing light appearing above you.

This light represents compassion.

Understanding.

Wisdom.

Healing.

The light gently surrounds you.

You remain completely safe.

As the light touches old emotional wounds, something remarkable happens.

The pain begins to soften.

The burden begins to lift.

The emotional charge begins to fade.

You do not need to erase your past.

You do not need to forget your experiences.

You simply allow yourself to heal from them.

You recognize that what happened was part of your journey.

But it is not your identity.

You are not your trauma.

You are not your pain.

You are not your past.

You are a strong, resilient human being who survived, learned, and continues to grow.

Every experience has helped shape your wisdom.

Every challenge has revealed your strength.

And now you give yourself permission to move forward.

Inner Child Healing

Imagine meeting a younger version of yourself.

Perhaps a child.

Perhaps a teenager.

Perhaps a younger adult.

Notice this younger self standing before you.

Look into their eyes.

See what they need most.

Perhaps they need comfort.

Perhaps they need reassurance.

Perhaps they need love.

Imagine gently placing your arms around them.

Allow them to hear these words:

“You are safe.”

“You are loved.”

“You are enough.”

“You did the best you could.”

“It is not your job to carry this burden anymore.”

“I am here for you.”

“We are healing together.”

Notice how this younger version of you begins to relax.

To feel seen.

To feel understood.

To feel loved.

And as they heal…

A part of you heals too.

Forgiveness and Freedom

Forgiveness does not mean approving of what happened.

Forgiveness does not mean forgetting.

Forgiveness means releasing the emotional chains that keep you tied to the pain.

You choose freedom.

You choose peace.

You choose healing.

You choose your future over your past.

You release resentment.

You release blame.

You release emotional burdens that no longer serve you.

You reclaim your energy.

You reclaim your peace.

You reclaim your life.

Therapeutic Suggestions

From this day forward…

You feel calmer.

More grounded.

More resilient.

You respond to life with greater confidence.

You trust your ability to handle challenges.

You sleep more peacefully.

You breathe more deeply.

You feel safer within yourself.

Old wounds continue healing.

Old fears continue fading.

Your mind becomes calmer.

Imagine yourself several months from now.

You notice how different you feel.

Calmer.

More peaceful.

More confident.

The situations that once triggered anxiety now feel manageable.

The memories that once caused pain no longer hold the same power.

In a moment I will count from one to five.

At five you will return feeling refreshed, calm, peaceful, and renewed.

Important Note for Trauma Work: For individuals with significant trauma histories, complex trauma, PTSD, abuse, or severe anxiety, hypnotherapy is often most effective when used alongside support from a qualified mental health professional. Healing should proceed at a pace that feels safe and manageable.
