Sexual Dysfunction can be caused by Poor Body Image and can be addressed with Hypnotherapy

Imagine that you are fully absorbed in the moment, enjoying the sensations and the connection with your partner. See yourself as a sexual being, confident, relaxed, and fully present in your body.

Here is a sample script for a hypnotherapy session focused on addressing sexual dysfunction caused by poor body image:

Title: “Embracing Your Body”

Induction:

“Welcome, and take a deep breath in. As you exhale, allow yourself to relax and let go of any tension or stress. Imagine yourself in a peaceful, calming environment, where you feel safe and supported.

“As you settle in, take another deep breath in, and as you exhale, allow your eyes to gently close. Feel your body becoming heavier, more relaxed, and more calm with each breath. You are safe, and you are in control.

“Imagine yourself descending a peaceful staircase, with each step, feeling yourself becoming more relaxed, more calm, and more centered. With each breath, repeat the phrase ‘I am relaxed’ to yourself, allowing the words to sink deep into your subconscious mind.”

Deepening:

“Imagine yourself in a beautiful, serene garden, surrounded by vibrant flowers and lush greenery. Notice the sounds of nature around you, the gentle rustling of the leaves, and the sweet scent of the flowers. Feel the warmth of the sun on your skin, and the gentle breeze caressing your face.

“As you walk through this garden, notice the different flowers and plants that represent different aspects of your life. See the flowers of self-love, the trees of self-acceptance, and the sparkling fountain of self-confidence. Allow yourself to feel a sense of connection to this garden, and know that it represents the best version of yourself.”

Poor Body Image:

“Now, imagine that you are standing in front of a mirror, looking at your reflection. Notice how you feel, perhaps critical, self-conscious, or unhappy with your body.

“Imagine that you are taking a step back from the mirror, and instead of focusing on your imperfections, you are seeing your body as a whole, strong, capable, and beautiful. Notice the things that you like about your body, the things that make you feel confident and proud.

“Repeat after me: ‘I love and accept my body.’ ‘I am proud of my strength and beauty.’ ‘I trust in my ability to take care of myself.’

“Imagine that with each breath, you are letting go of any negative self-talk, any self-criticism, and any doubts about your body.

See yourself as a sexual being, confident, empowered, and fully present in your body.”

Visualization:

“Now, imagine that you are in a loving, intimate situation with your partner. See yourself as connected, present, and fully engaged. Notice the sensations in your body, the feelings of pleasure and arousal.

“Imagine that you are fully absorbed in the moment, enjoying the sensations and the connection with your partner. See yourself as a sexual being, confident, relaxed, and fully present in your body.

“As you visualize this scenario, repeat after me: ‘I am fully present in the moment.’ ‘I trust in my abilities.’ ‘I am worthy of pleasure and intimacy.'”

Counting and Awakening:

“Now, take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, slowly count backwards from five, feeling yourself becoming more alert and awake with each number. Five… four… three… two… one.

“When you are ready, slowly open your eyes, and take a deep breath in, feeling refreshed, renewed, and more connected to your body and your sexuality.”

Visualization:

“Imagine yourself standing in front of a beautiful, shimmering mirror. This mirror represents the reflection of your soul, your inner self, and your true essence. As you gaze into the mirror, see yourself as a radiant, vibrant being, filled with life, energy, and vitality.

Notice the colours that surround you. Are they bright, vibrant, and radiant, or are they dull, muted, and faded? Imagine that you can control these colours, brightening them, intensifying them, and strengthening them.

See yourself radiating a warm, golden light that represents your life force, your energy, and your vitality.

Visualize a stream of pure, crystal-clear water flowing through your body, cleansing, nourishing, and rejuvenating every cell, every fiber, and every molecule. Imagine this water washing away any doubts, fears, or limitations, leaving you feeling refreshed, renewed, and empowered.

Now, see yourself standing in a magnificent, cathedral-like space. This space represents the temple of your body, the sacred vessel that houses your soul. Imagine that you can control this space, shaping it, molding it, and decorating it with the beauty, harmony, and balance that you desire.

Visualize a golden, pulsing light emanating from your heart, filling your body with love, compassion, and self-acceptance. See yourself embracing your body, loving it, accepting it, and appreciating its beauty, strength, and resilience.

As you continue to breathe deeply, feel yourself becoming more connected to your body, more attuned to its rhythms and needs. Imagine that you can sense the subtle energies that flow through your body, guiding you toward balance, harmony, and wholeness.”

Affirmations:

“As I stand in this space, I am the master of my body, the captain of my soul. I am in control of my life force, my energy, and my vitality.

I trust in my ability to nourish, nurture, and heal my body. I love and accept myself, just as I am, and I appreciate the beauty, strength, and resilience of my physical form.

I am connected to my soul, my inner self, and my true essence. I trust in my intuition, my instincts, and my inner wisdom. I am guided toward balance, harmony, and wholeness in all aspects of my life.”

Counting and Awakening:

“Take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, slowly begin to count from 1 to 5. As you count, feel yourself becoming more alert, more awake, and more aware of your surroundings.

1… 2… 3… 4… 5

When you’re ready, slowly open your eyes, feeling refreshed, renewed, and empowered to take control of your life and soul.”
