Initial Assessment

Before beginning, take a moment to identify the primary emotion you are experiencing right now.

Ask yourself:

  • What am I feeling?
  • Where do I feel it in my body?
  • How intense is it on a scale from 0 to 10?

Take a slow breath.

Acknowledge whatever is present without trying to change it.
