Here’s a hypnotherapy script to help deal with underlying issues driving bitterness, past traumas, unmet expectations, and unhealthy relationships:
Induction
“Welcome to this hypnotherapy session, where you’ll embark on a journey to release bitterness and address the underlying issues driving it. Find a comfortable and quiet place to sit or lie down, close your eyes, and take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Imagine yourself standing at the top of a staircase, with each step leading you deeper into relaxation. As you begin to descend, feel your body becoming heavier, more relaxed, and calm. With each step, allow your breathing to slow down, and your mind to quiet.
As you reach the bottom of the stairs, imagine yourself in a peaceful, serene environment. This could be a beach, a forest, or a mountain meadow. Take a moment to notice the sights, sounds, and sensations around you.
Deepening
“Now, imagine a warm, soothing light beginning to fill your body. This light represents relaxation, calmness, and tranquility. As it spreads throughout your body, feel any tension, stress, or anxiety melting away.
Allow this light to fill your heart, filling any areas of bitterness or resentment with compassion, understanding, and love. Imagine this light dissolving any negative emotions, replacing them with a sense of peace and tranquility.
Addressing Past Traumas
“Imagine yourself in a safe, protected space, where you can confront and release past traumas. Bring to mind the traumatic experiences that have contributed to your bitterness. Allow yourself to feel any emotions that arise, knowing that you’re safe and supported.
As you reflect on these experiences, imagine a sense of distance and detachment. See yourself observing the traumatic events from a safe distance, without reliving the pain or emotion. Allow yourself to release any negative emotions associated with these experiences, and imagine them drifting away like clouds disappearing into the distance.
Releasing Unmet Expectations
“Now, imagine a box or a container in front of you. This box represents your unmet expectations, and all the desires, hopes, and dreams that have not been fulfilled. Take a moment to acknowledge these unmet expectations, and allow yourself to feel any emotions that arise.
As you open the box, imagine a bright, warm light filling it. This light represents release, freedom, and liberation. Imagine any unmet expectations, desires, or hopes being lifted out of the box, and released into the universe.
Healing Unhealthy Relationships
“Imagine yourself in a relationship that has contributed to your bitterness. This could be a romantic relationship, a family relationship, or a friendship. Allow yourself to feel any emotions that arise, knowing that you’re safe and supported.
As you reflect on this relationship, imagine a sense of compassion and understanding. See the other person as they truly are, with their own struggles, fears, and limitations. Allow yourself to release any negative emotions associated with this relationship, and imagine them drifting away like clouds disappearing into the distance.
Integration and Release
“Now, imagine yourself back in your peaceful, serene environment. Take a moment to notice how you’re feeling, and allow yourself to integrate any insights or shifts that have occurred.
As you prepare to return to your waking state, remember that you’ve released bitterness, and addressed the underlying issues driving it. You’ve confronted past traumas, released unmet expectations, and healed unhealthy relationships.
Counting Up
“As you slowly begin to come back to the present, take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, slowly open your eyes. Take a moment to notice your surroundings, and feel the sense of calm, peace, and tranquility that remains with you.
When you’re ready, slowly get up, stretch, and take a deep breath, feeling refreshed, renewed, and revitalized. Remember that you’ve taken a powerful step towards releasing bitterness, and that you’ll continue to grow, learn, and evolve in the days ahead.”
Post-Hypnotic Suggestion
“From this day forward, you’ll continue to release bitterness, and cultivate a more positive, healthy, and fulfilling life. You’ll approach challenges with curiosity, openness, and non-judgment, rather than bitterness or resentment. You’ll trust in your ability to navigate difficult situations, and you’ll remember that you’re always capable of growth, learning, and self-improvement.
As you go about your day, remember to take a few deep breaths, feeling the calmness and peace that remains with you. Know that you’re deserving of love, compassion, and joy, and that you’ll continue to cultivate these qualities in your life.”
