Third Eye Chakra Imbalance

The chakra system distributes the flow of prana or energy throughout your subtle body. Stress, illness, emotional upset, or conflict all can cause blockages or imbalance in your chakra system. All of the seven chakras are interconnected; when one chakra experiences a blockage or imbalance, it affects all the others. This disruption of energy can cause your mind, body, and spirit to suffer.

When the third eye chakra is imbalanced, it can cause emotional and physical stress. If you are working toward developing a deeper understanding of your world and expanding your intuition, it is important that you open and balance your third eye chakra.

Under-active Third Eye Chakra – When a chakra is under-active, it means that the chakra is experiencing a blockage or is not distributing the flow of energy. When your third eye chakra is under-active, it can affect your overall well being.

When your third eye chakra is blocked or under-active, it can negatively affect your ability to concentrate, process information, or keep cool under pressure. When the third eye chakra becomes blocked, it can often cause you to be fearful of the unknown.

Open the Third Eye Chakra (Indigo). Like its name, this chakra deals with insight. When open, you have excellent clairvoyance and tend to dream a lot. If it’s under-active: you tend to look up to other people to think for you. Relying on beliefs too often, you also tend to be confused most of the time. If it’s over-active: you tend to live in a world imagination all day long. In the extremes, you could suffer from frequent daydreams or even hallucinations.

Sit cross-legged.

Put your hands in front of the lower part of the breast. The middle fingers should be straight and touch the tops, pointing away from you. The other fingers are bent and touch at the two upper phalanges. The thumbs point towards you and meet at the tops.

Concentrate on the Third Eye Chakra and what it stands for, a little above the center of the two eyebrows.

Silently, but clearly, chant the sound “OM” or “AUM.”

All this time, relaxation of the body should come a bit naturally and continue to think of the chakra, it’s meaning, and how it does or should affect your life.

Dealing with Insomnia with Hypnosis

Insomnia is a sleep disorder that is characterized by difficulty falling and or staying asleep.

People with insomnia have one or more of the following symptoms:

  • Difficulty falling asleep.
  • Waking up often during the night and having trouble going back to sleep.
  • Waking up too early in the morning.

Insomnia is one of the most common problems we, as human beings, experience. Most of us, at some time or another, have experienced lack of sleep, and the devastating effects on mind, body, emotions and energy levels, when we don’t get enough sleep.

Sleep is one of the most fundamental needs our body has.

In order for us to feel happy, balanced and energized, we need sleep. We all know how it feels to lie awake at night, not be able to sleep; the exhaustion, irritability, and the sheer weariness of the body. We find ourselves going through life being moody and irritable, and constantly close to tears, and one look in the mirror those dark rings around our eyes, and we know we look as bad as we feel!

Sleep problems such as insomnia are a common symptom of many mental illnesses, including anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

Different Types of Insomnia:
  • Acute insomnia. A brief episode of difficulty sleeping.
  • Chronic insomnia. A long-term pattern of difficulty sleeping.
  • Comorbid insomnia. Insomnia that occurs with another condition.
  • Onset insomnia. Difficulty falling asleep at the beginning of the night.
  • Maintenance insomnia. The inability to stay asleep.
  • What type of insomnia do you think you have?

The frustration of lying in bed, tossing and turning, restless legs, too hot, too cold, anxiety, stress, worry, security fears, working too hard or too late, worrying about the future, busy or important day the next day, a busy mind that won’t switch off, or simply a habit formed from being a night-owl and staying up too late too many nights in a row. And conversely, the less we sleep, the less we are able to sleep.

The reasons for insomnia are seemly endless. And sometimes it seems as if the solutions are not solutions at all:

  • Sleeping tablets are habit forming and often cease to work after a while, which means higher dosage or a stronger sleeping tablet.
  • Trying to form good pre-sleep habits are difficult when you are already dreading the night ahead
  • Exercise is great, but it may be difficult to motivate yourself because you’re so exhausted
  • Avoid caffeine – well that would work if you didn’t need that caffeine boost to get you through the day!
  • Some other suggestions are more helpful – tone down your emotions in the evening, eliminate noise, read a book, avoid media, your phone and tablet for at least half an hour before bed, or drink some calming tea or warm milk just before bed.

But there is a much easier and more effective way to be able to get a great night’s sleep naturally. Hypnosis has been used since the 1700’s to successfully treat stress, anxiety and insomnia, to change unwanted habits, such as smoking and bad eating habits, to successfully lose weight, and even help with medical problems, such as pain control, and relief from discomfort.

Hypnosis is a powerful way to train the mind to access deep states of relaxation. During hypnosis the mind automatically learns how to de-stress and relax, and how to connect to a deep state of inner peace and tranquility – and that is half the battle won already!

Anxiety, stress, and depression are some of the most common causes of chronic insomnia. Other common emotional and psychological causes include anger, worry, grief, bipolar disorder, and trauma.

In hypnosis, we train the mind let go of stress, leave troubling thoughts and emotions behind, and be to able to connect to a very peaceful state, and ultimately, fall asleep easily and naturally stay asleep all night long, to get a lovely restful sleep, and wake feeling refreshed.

We have helped hundreds of clients to let go of anxiety, stress and worry, and to be able to connect to a state of complete relaxation. Further suggestions of being able to fall asleep easily naturally follow. We teaches our clients self hypnosis, so that each client has the ability to program their own mind, to access a deeply relaxed state mind, to fall asleep easily and naturally get a deep peaceful nights rest.
