Sexual Trauma and Intimacy Blocks Hypnotherapy Script for Women

Theme: Emotional Safety, Trauma-Informed Healing, Rebuilding Trust, Reducing Fear and Avoidance, and Restoring Comfort with Intimacy

Therapeutic Purpose: This script is designed for women who experience sexual trauma-related intimacy blocks, including fear of touch, sexual numbness, avoidance, emotional shutdown, anxiety during intimacy, flashbacks, difficulty trusting a partner, or subconscious fear-based protective responses.

Important Clinical Note:
Sexual trauma work requires specialized trauma-informed care. Hypnotherapy should be used only by appropriately trained clinicians and with great caution, because direct trauma processing can intensify symptoms if done too quickly. This script focuses on safety, stabilization, body trust, grounding, and reducing fear-based protective responsesnot on reliving trauma.

Pre-Talk (Therapist Introduction)

“Today, this is not about revisiting pain…”

“This is not about forcing memories…”

“This is not about pressure…”

“This is about safety…”

“This is about helping your mind and body learn that this moment is not the past…”

“Sometimes after painful experiences, the body protects…”

“It becomes guarded…”

“It withdraws…”

“It shuts down…”

“It fears touch…”

“It avoids closeness…”

“It stays alert…”

“And this is not weakness…”

“This is protection…”

“A body and mind trying to keep you safe…”

“And today… we begin gently teaching your system that safety can grow again…”

“That calm can return…”

“That trust can be rebuilt…”

“That comfort can exist again… in your own time… in your own way…”

Induction – Grounded Relaxation

“Take a slow, deep breath in… and gently let it go…”

“Again… breathing in calm… breathing out tension…”

“And once more… allowing yourself to settle…”

“Allow your eyes to close… only if that feels comfortable…”

“And if not… simply soften your gaze…”

“Notice the chair beneath you…”

“Notice the ground supporting you…”

“Notice your breath…”

“Notice this moment…”

“You are here…”

“You are safe in this moment…”

“Your body is supported…”

“Your breath is steady…”

“And little by little… your body begins to soften…”

Deepener – Safe Descent with Choice

“In a moment… I will count from 10 down to 1…”

“And with each number… you may relax only as much as feels safe…”

“You remain in control…”

“You choose your pace…”

10… safe
9… supported
8… breathing calmly
7… relaxing gently
6… feeling grounded
5… peaceful inside
4… calm growing
3… safe and aware
2… supported and relaxed
1… deeply calm in your own way

Therapeutic Work – Understanding Protective Responses

“Sometimes the body reacts before the mind understands…”

“Fear appears…”

“The body freezes…”

“The emotions shut down…”

“Touch feels unsafe…”

“Closeness feels difficult…”

“And this is not failure…”

“This is protection…”

“A nervous system doing its best to survive…”

“And now… your inner mind can begin to learn something new…”

“Protection does not have to stay the same forever…”

“Safety can grow…”

“Calm can grow…”

“Choice can grow…”

Building Emotional Safety

“You do not need to force trust…”

“You do not need to force closeness…”

“You do not need to rush healing…”

“Safety comes first…”

“Breath by breath…”

“Moment by moment…”

“Your body learns that safety is possible…”

“Your emotions learn that calm is possible…”

“Your mind learns that this moment is here… not there…”

“Now… not then…”

“Safe… not unsafe…”

“Present… not past…”

Reducing Fear and Avoidance

“Fear can soften…”

“Avoidance can soften…”

“Guarding can soften…”

“Not by force…”

“But through safety…”

“Through choice…”

“Through trust…”

“You no longer need to brace against every safe moment…”

“You no longer need to carry past fear into every present experience…”

“Your nervous system can learn a new response…”

“Calm instead of fear…”

“Breath instead of panic…”

“Awareness instead of shutdown…”

Rebuilding Trust in Self and Safe Intimacy

“Trust begins inside…”

“Trust in your breath…”

“Trust in your body’s signals…”

“Trust in your ability to choose…”

“Trust in your right to stop…”

“Trust in your right to say yes…”

“Trust in your right to move slowly…”

“Trust in your right to feel safe…”

“And as inner trust grows… comfort begins to grow…”

“And as comfort grows… openness becomes easier…”

“And as safety becomes familiar… intimacy may begin to feel less frightening…”

“Gently… naturally… in your own time…”

Restoring Comfort with Touch and Closeness

“Touch does not have to mean fear…”

“Closeness does not have to mean danger…”

“Safety with breath…”

“Safety with choice…”

“Safety with boundaries…”

“Safety with trust…”

“Your body can remain calm in safe moments…”

“Your body can soften in safe connection…”

Trauma healing is about safety first, processing second, and always respecting the client’s pace.

Rebuilding Trust with Hypnotherapy

Imagine yourself in relationships where trust has been rebuilt. You’re experiencing a sense of security, comfort, and connection with others.

Here is a script for a hypnotherapy session focused on rebuilding trust:

Induction

“Welcome to this hypnotherapy session, where you’ll learn to rebuild trust and strengthen your relationships. Take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, allow yourself to relax, letting go of any tension or stress.

Imagine yourself in a peaceful, comforting place, where you feel safe and relaxed. This could be a beach at sunset, a forest glade, or a cozy room in your home. Take a moment to visualize this place, and allow yourself to fully immerse in its tranquility.

As you continue to breathe deeply, I’ll guide you through this session, and we’ll explore ways to rebuild trust, communicate more effectively, and strengthen your relationships.”

Deepening

“Now, imagine a warm, soothing light beginning to fill your body, starting at the crown of your head and flowing down to your toes. As this light travels through your body, it relaxes each muscle, quieting your mind and calming your emotions.

With each breath, this light grows stronger, filling you with a sense of peace and tranquility. You feel your eyelids growing heavy, your shoulders releasing, and your heart rate slowing. You’re becoming more relaxed, more calm, and more serene with each passing moment.

Allow yourself to let go of any thoughts or worries, and simply focus on the sensation of this peaceful light filling your body.”

Visualization

“Imagine yourself in a situation where you felt trusting and secure. It could be a memory from childhood, a time with a loved one, or a moment in a past relationship.

As you visualize this scenario, notice how you feel. Do you feel a sense of safety, security, and trust? Allow yourself to fully immerse in this feeling, and imagine it spreading throughout your body.

Now, imagine yourself in a situation where you feel the need to rebuild trust. It could be with a romantic partner, a friend, or a family member.

As you visualize this scenario, notice how you feel. Do you feel anxious, uncertain, or fearful? Allow yourself to acknowledge these feelings, and then take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, imagine any tension or doubt leaving your body.

Imagine yourself communicating openly and honestly with this person. You’re expressing your needs, feelings, and concerns in a clear and respectful manner. You’re listening actively, seeking to understand their perspective, and finding common ground.

Repeat the following phrase to yourself: ‘I trust myself, I trust others, I trust the process.'”

Empowerment

“Imagine a sense of confidence and empowerment growing within you. You’re aware of your strengths, your values, and your boundaries. You know that you can communicate effectively, set healthy limits, and rebuild trust.

As you continue to breathe deeply, repeat the following phrase to yourself: ‘I am strong, I am capable, I am worthy of trust.’ Allow these words to fill you with confidence and empowerment.

Now, imagine yourself in relationships where trust has been rebuilt. You’re experiencing a sense of security, comfort, and connection with others. You’re able to communicate openly, resolve conflicts effectively, and enjoy deep, meaningful connections.

As you continue to visualize this scenario, notice how you feel. Do you feel proud, satisfied, or happy? Allow yourself to integrate this feeling into your daily life, knowing that you have the power to rebuild trust and strengthen your relationships.”

Integration

“Now, imagine yourself back in your peaceful, comforting place. Notice how you feel different, how you feel more confident, more calm, and more empowered.

Take a moment to integrate this new feeling of trust and empowerment into your daily life. Imagine yourself facing similar situations, but this time, you respond with confidence, clarity, and trust.

As you continue to breathe deeply, repeat the following phrase to yourself: ‘I trust myself, I trust others, I trust the process.'”

Counting and Awakening

“As you continue to breathe deeply, I’ll count from 1 to 5, and when I reach 5, you’ll slowly, gently open your eyes, feeling refreshed, renewed, and filled with a sense of trust and empowerment.

1… Your body feels relaxed, your mind is calm, and your heart is at peace.

2… You’re aware of your breath, slow and steady, filling you with tranquility.

3… Your thoughts are clear, your emotions are balanced, and your spirit is confident.

4… You feel connected to yourself, to others, and to the world around you.

5… When you’re ready, slowly open your eyes, and take a deep breath in, carrying this sense of trust and empowerment with you into your daily life.”

Remember, the goal of this script is to guide the client into a state of deep relaxation, where they can access their subconscious mind and develop the confidence and skills to rebuild trust and strengthen their relationships.
